no...it is my fault.....he thought. i just cant.....but.....he added, not sure what to do. he placed her down on a patch of moss in the cave and went to get Aurora. he found her. and layed her down too.Calyx sat down at the mouth of the cave. " what are you going to do?" she asked.

Cloud sighed. " i dont know.." he snapped. " i cant just leave her like this...i cant leave her period." he sighed. " i dont know what to do......"

Maksis crashed through the woods. What the hell did I do to these people? He questioned himself as he ran through the woods. He had simply walked into town and a bunch of people ran at him with guns calling him a theif. He had run. He stopped to catch his breath, the sound of gunshots gone. He heard the men turn away and walk back toward town. Maksis breathed a sigh of relief and trudged onward. He saw four people in an empty clearing. A teenager was standing over two girls. They looked scarily pale and Maksis jogged over. "What happened?" He asked, eyeing the girl with the wings. She had major burns on her cheek, and fingers. He saw a faint pink line under her shirt. He pulled it down to reveal her shoulder and had to look away. He looked up at the boy with malice. "What did you do to these poor girls." He said.

Taylor looked up at the newcomer. "Stop it." She said to him. She had meant for it to be forceful, but her voice was barely audible. She couldn't believe Cloud was ignoring her. She lifted her hand up. "Cloud." She said, wanting him to sit next to her. she closed her eyes and her arm dropped.

Maksis paid no attention to the fact that Cloud had almost beat him up. Of course, he could have chosen whether Cloud's hand would have gone right through him or his hand would have hit him like he would have hit a cement wall. He liked the second one better. He scooted over to Taylor and put his hand lightly on her shoulder. He looked up, challenging Cloud to yell at him.

Taylor flinched when Maksis's warm hand met her flesh. The fire burned more intensely and she moaned in pain. She grabbed Cloud's hand and squeezed, but her attempt was weak.

Cloud sighed. he made a sad face and got up. " watch Taylor Calyx." he said turning the other way. " im going into town to get some...things." he smirked. he turned to his wolf form and ran out of sight. when he was in town, he looked for a pharmacy. he found one and walked it, in his wolf form. he heard screams, but diddent care. he grabbed some bandages some burn heal, and some other stuff and darted back to Taylor.

Maksis looked up at Cloud. "That's not really necessary," He said and his fingertips turned green. His brows furrowed in concentration and slowly, Taylor's wound began to close up. The burn seemed to be swallowed into itself. The only reminder of what was there was a trace of pink surrounding Taylor's shoulder. Maksis smiled and his fingertips went back to normal. He sat down heavily. The wound had been more fatal than he had thought and had drained a lot of energy out of him. He looked at her fingertips. They were just as bad, but her cheek worried him the most. It looked as if the flesh was still being burned away. He didn't know what was doing it, but was pretty sure it was bad. He placed his hand on her cheek and repeated the process. He was halfway done when his fingertips returned to their pale color. He did not have any more energy left to heal her wounds.

Taylor felt an icy fire go through her shoulder as Maks's fingertips began to glow. She squeezed Cloud's arm with more force, but suddenly, the pain went away. She sighed in relief and looked up at Cloud, tears in her eyes. "Thank you." She whispered to Maksis, but her eyes were on Cloud's face.

Taylor tried to sit up, but barely made it with the amount of effort it took her.

Maksis watched in awe as Taylor sat up. After a serious injury like that, she should not be able to do that. He thought. He finally noticed the wolf ears that sat atop of her head and the tail that curled in the dirt. Her gray wings were what surprised him the most. He shook his head, clearly, by the look of her face, she was in love with the other guy. He shook his head. He probablly did that to her. He looked at the wolf sitting to his left. "Hey, I'm Maksis." He said to her.

Taylor looked to her right. "Thank you." She said in a weak voice. She put her shoulder around Cloud for support and tried to stand up, but she needed his help.

Maksis immedietly got up and went to check Calyx. He looked at her chest. "She's burned too. What the hell is this stuff?!" He exclaimed, pointed at the shadowy liquid found in her fur. He put his hand on her chest and tried to find the energy to start his powers, but it wouldn't come. He ran his hand through his hair in frustration and looked at the ground. He looked to his left and saw a couple of strips of dried meat. He picked them up and swallowed them quickly, his strength returning. Quickly, he did the same process as with Taylor. the wound closed in on itself and the shadowy liquid dissappeared with it.

Taylor sat back down. She sighed, frustrated at being this powerless. She leaned into Cloud for support and watched as Maksis fixed Calyx up, her wings shaking from lack of sleep and weakness.

" why dont you have a nap or something?" he asked smiling at her. he turned to Calyx. " is she ok?" he asked, as he poked her again ((xD)) Calyx groaned and lifted her ehad up to see a stranger looming over her. she bared her teeth and growled.

She laid back. She really did not want to take a nap. "I'm too tired to take a nap." She mumbled. I've only had sleep-deprivation once and that was fun. Embaras.sing yourself is always fun. That was her last coherent thought. "It's not fair." She mumbled to herself. "They invent sleeping so you are vulnerable and you can't even fly in your sleep. It's stupid." She said. "Whoever made up sleep is stupid. The sand man is stupid. Heck, everyone is stupid." She went on until her eyelids drooped and she drifted off, mumbling occasionaly about who-knows-what.

Maksis jumped back a little bit. "Hey, i just healed you and saved you from a pretty painful death." He snapped. "That weird liquid was eating you alive." He said, not realizing how much he was tormenting Cloud by saying this. "It was eating this girl alive too." He said.

Cloud twiched. he walked out of the Cave, daring Maksis to follow.

Calyx hissed and staggered up. she walked up to Taylor and layed down next to her for warmth.

Maksis got up uncertainly. Looks like I pissed him off. He thought. What did I do? He walked out of the cave, following Cloud. He stopped a few feet away from him. "What?" Maksis asked, sounding sincere and not rude.

Maksis ducked when Cloud lunged, but he just jumped over him. He had not only seen anger in Cloud's eyes, but also fear and sadness. He felt bad for the guy and promised to himself not to say anything about the liquid again. He decided he shouldn't go into the cave because he barely knew these kids.

Taylor woke up feeling horrible, but with renewed strength. She opened her eyes and looked around the familiar cave walls. She spotted Cloud to her left. She moved over to him, wondering if he was awake or not.

Cloud opened one of his eyes to look at taylor. " feel better?" he asked. " i dont i diddent get any sleep from Calyxs snoring thing..."

" i dont snore!"

" well you make this weird sound like weeeehaahhhhweeeeehaaaahhhh......"
