" its a fox squirrel!!! " Cloud laughed. he pushed teto off him and ran. Teto turned to Taylor. " watch out!" he said to her laughing quietly. Teto jumped on Taylor and purred before sitting on her shoulder. " he likes you." he said.

Taylor looked up at Cloud. She thought that maybe having this fox squirrel around, he would be happier. "What's your name." she said to the little fox squirrel, of course she did not expect it to answer her though. She scratched him behind the ears. "Cloud, your not leaving are you?" She asked, sorrow in her eyes.

Taylor felt the hint of coldness in Cloud's voice. "Fine." She said. "Leave and take your fox-squirrel with you. Or, better yet, I'll leave." She said and stalked off into the clearing with the lake. She looked at the ground. Dead patches of gras.s were all that remained of the battle. That and the claw marks on the trees. She sat down by the water and traced her finger on the surface. ((i g2g))

"Then don't go." She begged him, but still wouldn't face him. She pulled a leaf off of the tree and let it float above her palm for a minute before she let it spiral down to the ground. "You don't have to go."

Taylor smiled, too. "Good." She said and she hugged him. She sighed as her stomach rumbled. "I think we should head back now." She said, though she did not want to leave. She was happy just spending time alone with Cloud.

Taylor nodded. "I'd like that." She said and began to pick up more sticks. The dizziness that had almost overwhelmed her before was gone now. There was no pain in her shoulder or her cheek. Maksis had done a great job healing her. -- Shadow beat his wings, scenting the air above the forest. He could smell the acrid stench of humans not far away and saw a small clearing. A girl, a wolf, and a young boy were surrounding a small campfire. He knew that Taylor had been there and there had been blood. He sniffed again and followed her scent trail. He landed in a fringe of trees and sat down to watch Taylor, knowing it was not the right time to appear now.

Shadow sighed. it was either now or never. he jumped from his branch and landed on the ground, his black wings ruffling his fur. He nodded to Taylor warily, wondering if she would remember him. He looked at Cloud, examining him. Shadow power. He's dangerous. She looked at Taylor again and his gaze softenend as he saw the burn marks on her cheeks. -- Taylor sucked in a breath as the black wolf landed in front of them. She looked at him and wondered why he had shone up in front of her. Why now? She was glad to see him of course, but she was sure his presense would only bring trouble.

Taylor put a hand on Cloud's chest and walked past him to stand before the wolf. "Shadow?" She whispered to him. -- "It is I." He replied and looked up at her, gentle and caring. -- "Shadow!" She said and wrapped her arms around his overly-sized neck. Shadow chuckled and looked at Cloud. -- "I am here to watch over you. I am an angel sent down from Heaven to watch over the young who were accidentally given the powers of the gods." He said to Cloud as Taylor let go of his neck. She left a hand on his head and softly stroked him. -- "Cloud, this is the Shadow I have been talking to you about." She said, taking her eyes off of her guardian angel to look at Cloud.

Taylor saw Cloud's smile falter. She was feeling the same way. She looked at Shadow and wondered if he could understand. Shadow chuckled softly. "Go ahead." He said to her and nudged her in Cloud's direction. He looked back at Calyx and Aurora. -- He walked over to the two and sniffed Calyx. "You must come with me. Do not worry, for everything will be explained." He said and nodded toward Taylor, telling her that she could go. He began to explain what his business was being there to Aurora and Calyx. -- Taylor walked up to Cloud. "We can still have our alone time." She said to him. "i'm pretty sure Shadow only wants us to be gone for tonight." She smirked. "Come on." She said and walked out of the clearing. ((rawr...i might hav 2 go soon...))

Cloud growled to himself and followed Taylor. " hrmm...who are you?" Calyx asked Shadow. Aurora almost fell off Calyx. Aurora jolted awake and looked around. "where ar i?"

Shadow settled down and folded his black wings against his back. "I was an angel chosen by the gods to help those who have accidentally aquired the gods powers control them. I was sent to lead them on the right path and make sure they do not choose the dark side over the light. Demons are looking for you right now. Demons sent by Satan to bring you to him and to serve him. With the power of the gods on his side, he can achieve almost anything. I, myself have one of the gods power. Three other angels have aquired these powers and have already mastered them. Three demons are also said to have aquired them, but since they are the from the god's they would be in great pain if they used them." -- Taylor walked out into the clearing with the lake and saw the destroyed area around it. She walked along the edge of the lake, getting as far away from that spot as possible. She looked back at Cloud and gave him a genuine smile. ((i g2g...spend time with my friend : )))
