Jamelia looked at Avvon with widened eyes, heaving in pain. "I'm fine. Lead the pack back to the territory, the Charlies will take the kill. I will be there shortly." She slowly made a terrible attempt to crawl back to the territory.

Jamelia smiled weakly at her. "Thank you, you are very kind..." Granor (lol, forgot about him) pulled the neck of the zebra kill, being careful not to rip off any meat. He dropped it in a pile of fresh-ish kill, then rushed to help Jamelia on her other side. "You might want to avoid hunting for a while." Jamelia twitched. "If I do that, who will lead the hunts?" Granor grumbled, looking to the side. You have a point..."

Jamelia shook her head. She didn't want to say that younger dogs weren't allowed to lead the pack. "No, its too dangerous. And your too young." She then lay down under her boulder, and Granor huffed, stalking away.

Granor trotted towards Avvon. "Avvon. Need to speak with you..." He looked to the side. "Privately..." He then added.

Granor led Avvon to behind a large boulder. "You know your the only Beta to try for Alpha, right? Your the only one without a mate. Are you going to try this year?" He looked around and growled. "What am I thinking. You have to. As a Charlie, I don't have power to force you, but really..." He looked back at Avvon. "You don't have much of a choice."

Granor grinned a little bit, but only out of amusement. "Well, at this point she doesn't care about affection like the others. Shes looking for responsibility, or atleast some sort of fatherly actions. Alphas need to be able to take care of everyone- sometimes even the Alpha Female. Its alot more than charm and strength. No one knows who she will pick, but best chances it will be you." Jamelia was ontop of the very boulder the two were behind, very silent. Granor swerved his ear in his direction. "I need to leave, but if you need advice... I used to be the Alpha of another pack. I'll be your best source." He then turned around and walked away.

Jamelia silently lept off the boulder by Granor, speaking to him in a scolding tone. Granor nodded and walked away. Jamelia sighed and limped over to Avvon.
