Sordidtail yawned and licked her paws. She spotted her leader and Silverwhisp conversing by the freshkill pile. She trotted over and sat down. "Oh yeah?" He asked, leaping off the rocks and back onto the riverbed. He looked back up to Goldshard, noticing her slight frown. He frowned, but kept going into the undergrowth, searching for anything he could kill. His stomach growled again, reminding him of his hunger.

Goldshard followed him obediently. She let out a giggle when she heard his stomach growl for food. "Keep it down!" She mewed. "You'll wake everyone in the forest!" She stiffled another giggle. She crawled through the brush.

((I guess so. ^^)) Silverwhisp nodded to Sordidtail, the turned back to her Clan leader. She let out a 'hmm' before returning her gaze to the Clan below. "It seems that Goldshard isn't present..." She said quietly. ...And it doesn't look like Snowpelt was present either.

Snowpelt grunted, angered by his noisy gut. "I agree." He grew quiet as he spotted a small mouse only a few cats-lengths away, he bent down into a puncing pose, and attacked. He padded back to Goldshard with the mouse in his mouth. Sordidtail looked back at the clan, "It appears so.." She agreed.

"That doesn't look like a rabbit to me." Goldshard giggled, her tail swishing behind her making a good deal of noise. "Oh no! I forgot my mouse back at the river!" She wailed, quickly turning around. She finally got back to the river just to see a large bid swoop down and pick it up. she yowled, lunging to and batting the bird into some brush. It skittered away into the underbrush befor eshe reached it. "Mouse dung!" She spat.

Snowpelt let out a muffled laugh. "Ah leasht eh didn'th tum back empteh handeth..." He said, barely audible. He dropped the mouse and pushed it over to her. "You can have it," he said, smiling. "As long as you dont let anyone else take it!" He joked, nudging the small she-cat.

Sordidtail smiled. "Yes, Maam." She then padded off into the deep forest, looking back a few times to see in Silverwhisp was following. She wasnt please that the she-cat was going, but she could deal with her as long as she stayed out of her way.

Goldshard giggled. "You sound like an elder." She purred. She padded over and picked up the mouse. "Wanth to eath thith togethur?" She asked. Then she stiffled another giggle. "You! Snowpelth, feth me some new beddingth! And geth this tickth outh of my furth!" She was laughing nopw, the mouse dropped down by her paw. Silverwhisp followed, hissing slightly.

Snowpelt chuckled, "Sure. As you can tell, Im starving." He tore off a good-sized peice of meat and swallowed it whole, too fast to even savor the taste. Snowpelt quickly paused, "Wait. I think I hear other cats," He sniffed the air. "Specifically Silverwhisp, and Sordidtail." Snowpelt really didnt want to face the deputy again, especially after what she had done to his ear. "Oh, hush up, if you hiss too much you'll scare away the prey." Sordid tail said, annoyed.

"Shut your trap!" Silverwhisp bristled. "If I want to hiss, I'll hiss!" Her tail was curled in and out in an irritated way. Goldshard layed down and took a good sized bite from the fresh-kill, savoring the taste. Bonus, she thought. Its warm and I get to eat with Snowpelt~ Her eyes flicked back right before snowpelt spoke. She let out a sigh. "They're scaring all the fresh-kill away." She huffed.

"Be quiet, both of you!" Tigerhawk whisper-yelled. "The clan needs to eat, and whether they get to or not should not be decided by selfish mouse-brains!" He knew he'd already said too much. Fleetpaw's eyes widened. |
