"I wanna try too!" squealed Scarlet, leaping in the air and landing gingerly on her feet. "Did I do it?" she asked excitedly. Iceblink tilted his head. "You don't have wings silly, you can't fly." he pointed out, leaping upwards in another attempt. Scarlet frowned, her eyes watering slightly. Finch, seeing her brother and sister having so much fun, flapped her wings to try and get off the ground, pushing off with her feet for lift-off. She hovered in mid-air for a few seconds before plummeting down onto her pillow again. |

Skye, relising that Scarlet's might cry, ran over to her. "Its okay!" she said, trying to make her feel better, "I bet you are better at many other things... like I bet you could run faster then any of us!"

Scarlet smiled widely, and her tail lashed playfully. "When can we go outside?" she asked Prince. "Ask the humans!"

Prince nodded, then turned to Kevi and Silence, "The hatchlings would like to know id they could go outside, can they?"

"Of course!" Kevi said hurriedly before Silence could write a response. She put a thick cloth on the bottom of the cart so none of the tiny feet would slip through the holes. "Okay, you can load yourself or be loaded, take your choice." Kevi said cheerily. She bent down and took Finch in her arms and put her in the cart. She squealed in delight and peered over the side at her siblings. Scarlet followed her in Kevi's arms, settling next to her sister happily. Iceblink refused to be picked up however, and laboriously climbed up the side of the cart.

Skye's ears folded back and the feathers on her neck raised when Kevi got near her, and she climbed up the side of the cart with Iceblink. "Why would they want to be picked up?" She wondered outloud. |

"It's easier than climbing" Finch replied simply. "Besides, it's not like it hurts." Kevi pushed the cart even more carefully than she had with the eggs as the group rode down the elevator. She mentally told Blitz and Lava to stay away. After all, they had killed their mother. Finally, they got out the doors. Kevi smiled seeing Professor Winter still in the courtyard. She went over to greet him. "Guess who hatched!" she sang happily, lifting Finch and Scarlet out of the cart, letting Iceblink and Skye climb out themselves like they preffered. |

"wow!" Professor Winter exclamed, looking at the hatchlings, "They are adorible!" Skye made a gagging sound and giggled. |

Kevi smiled proudly. "I'm glad they're safe, there was no way the father could have looked after them alone." Kevi said. Scarlet bounced on her spidery legs. "Skye! Will you race me?" she asked excitedly. |

((*gasp* nooo!)) "Ready set Go!" Scarlet said quickly, taking off at a sprint to the tree. "What do you think we should do with them?" asked Kevi. "I had origianally planned on training them to be guards for the school, but two of them really aren't fond of humans at all. At least not me." she said. |

((Dun leave shadow D8)) Professor Winter crossed his arms, "Maybe you should let them pick what they want to be." He sugested, "I mean, how would you feel if your life was chosen for you?" Skye gasped and started to run too, but was unable to even get close to Scarlet. |

"I suppose you're right" Kevi said. "But I want them all to be of use to the school instead of going off into the wild. In addition, it would be nice for them to all stay together at the school" Scarlet jumped when she reached the finish line. "I think you were right Skye! I am faster!" she said, puffing out her chest proudly. |
