((Imma have Shayne rescue Kazumi! :D Very contradictory to his nature though. He's only trying to impress Kimi.))

Sven chuckled at Kazumi. "Don't be too intimidated, love, you'd only be half a snack for Jacoba, he won't eat you."

Jacoba snorted, watching Kazumi with hungry eyes. "Maybe I will, maybe I won't. I'm only a little bit hungry. More so am I hungry for a fight." Jacoba put his muzzle right by Kazumi's face, sniffing her. "Mmmm, she doesn't smell like she'd put up much a fight though"

Sven waved Jacoba back, and he grudgingly obeyed. "Here girl, take my sword and make yourself useful, fight Jacoba, if you win you can keep it... but you won't win" Sven tossed his long sword to the ground so the hilt slid to Kazumi's boots.

It was a very fine sword, too. The hilt was a dark metal, shined to perfection and studded with purple diamonds. The blade was sharpened just that morning, by no means dull. Its only flaw was its weight. It took Sven ages just to be able to lift it.

Kazumi looked at the sword before picking up the sword struggleing abit with the weight before looking at Jacoba scared hopeing that she wasnt going to die.

Fawkes quickly flew to the school to try and find help.

Kevi walked out of the school, Temeraire curled around her shoulders smoothly, purring as she scratched his chin. Kevi looked up warily, hearing the cry of a phoenix. She put Temeraire on the ground, and soon Lava and Blitz were on either side.

"There's something you don't see everyday" Temeraire said softly, climbing onto Lava's back and perching on his head, his tail flicking gracefully. "A phoenix"

"Is it wild do you suppose?" Kevi wondered out loud.

"It wouldn't be on school grounds if it were, someone must've created him" Blitz said.

"I wonder if phoenix taste good" Lava said absent-mindfully, flexing his wings wistfully.

Jacoba hissed and revealed his teeth in a snarl, stepping closer to Kazumi. "Worthless little roach" he mumbled, closing in.

Shayne was trotting towards Kimi's nest when he head the growl of a raptor. A growl of a raptor could only mean food; good food. Raptors were not scavengers like death horses were, they ate live meat, and prefered it when their meals fought, so they mainly hunted predators. It was rare when a death horse was caught, but it did happen. And that inspired him. Shayne let out an ear-piercing cry for Kimi, so she could watch his heroism if she wished and then he charged towards the sound of the raptor-growls. 

Kazumi looked at him scared backing up holding the sword up to defend herself.

Fawkes soon landed by Kevi "help please wheres Mum and Riley?" he asked her.

Kimi heard the males call and got up trotting over to where it came from hearing a raptors growls and tilting her head.

Kevi looked down at the phoenix as it landed. "You must be Kazumi's then" Kevi said. "Don't you wanna know about Teto too?" Kevi laughed. "Well, I don't know where either of them are. Where's Kazumi though?"

Temeraire hopped down in front of the phoenix. "Is she in trouble?" he asked.

Jacoba opened his jaws and was about to tear the sword from Kazumi's hand, when a force hit his side and nearly knocked him over. He hissed and turned around to see a death horse, stamping its hoof and snorting in challenge. He growled, tail lashing and charged at Shayne.

Shayne was stronger than this particular raptor, luckily. He didn't escape the prick of his talons though as he furiously, bucked the raptor off his back against the tree.

Jacoba put out his feet against the tree and pushed off, adding a good til to the sturdy beech tree before rounding on Shayne.

"Jacoba!" Sven called.

That was all ?Jacoba needed. He quickly swerved his course and grabbed the sword in his jaws, grappling it in his teeth as he put Sven on his back with his claw. Without a final word, they raced away.

Shayne snorted and whinied in triumph, rearing mightily and then landing on the ground. He turned his great head to Kazumi, his red eyes bore into hers. He thought about attacking her, but he knew it would displease Kimi. He snorted again and then turned away from her, trotting towards Kimi hopefully. If that didn't earn her respect, nothing would. 

Kazumi sighed in relef before fainting against a tree.

Kimi ran over to the male impressed nuzzleing her head into him she started a low purring noise her tail moving.

Fawkes looked at them and nodded "she is in the forest and theres a raptor and a human they want to kill her" he said scared for his human.

"Well what am I gonna do?" snapped Kevi, putting her hands on her hips angrily.

Lava rolled his eyes. "I'll handle it, lead the way bird"

Shayne snorted triumphantly, his tail swishing gently. 

Fawkes nodded at Lava and flew back to where Kazumi was.

Kimi looked at Shayne and nugded him before walking back to her den accepting him as her mate.

Shayne  trotted after Kimi, glad to have earned her favor.

((And then they mate and such. :P))

Lava flew after Fawkes, landing in front of Kazumi. "She looks okay to me" Lava said, heaving her onto his back. "I'll take her back to Mum." 

Fawkes nodded looking confused "i know but they where here cant you smell them?" he asked before smelling a scent he hasnt smelt before.

Kimi lay down after the mating and neighed before eating the food he had left for her before.

Lava spread his wings and flew back to Kevi. "At the scene we smelled raptor and human, male and female both" Lava said. "So Kazumi wasn't cornered by some wild raptor, it had to be an animator."

"Or someone with talents for taming predators" Blitz pointed out skeptically. "It could have been either"

"But which is more likely?" Temeraire ventured. "You know as well as I that Guilliotine's school has reopened."

"Re-opened?" Kevi asked, staring at Temeraire.

Temeraire sat down, grooming his paws. "I read it in our school's history book" he said. "There was once another animator's school, run by Headmaster Guillotine and her creature Laetificat. It was once perfectly normal, and the schools participated in friendly sports. But, Guillotine wanted power so she had every member of her school killed. Their energy flowed into her orb. The creatures ran wild and many lost their minds, becoming common creatures that we see in the forest today, such as dragons and gryphons and imps; and even death horses. Then, Guillotine vanished. She wasn't heard of for another hundred years, people *censored*umed she was dead. But recently, the school has opened up. Personally I think she is building an army of powerful animators and I think she'll try and have a go at all of us as soon as she has more numbers."

"That doesn't sound like the type of place we want to be..." Kevi said softly. 

"Exactly" Temeraire said, stretching and leaping back to Kevi's waiting shoulder.

Kevi looked at Kazumi. "Well, we had best go and find Mum, she'll be worried if Kazumi doesn't wake up soon."

Blitz nodded and flew off to find Mum. She was near the stables, examining one of the smaller creatures that lived there. "Hello Mum." he said, landing beside her.
