There are odd deaths amung rnthe livestock and weird creatures have been seen out of the corners of rnpeople's eyes. Large, lumbering creatures with bright red eyes. Old rnpeople claim to wake to white faces bending over theirs and babies wake rnscreaming for no apparent reason in the middle of the night.

Something is wrong, something id terribly wrong, and you rnmight be one of the only ones who can stop it. The Summer Queen speaks rnthrough the old witch. Will you answer her call?

The setting is not in rnmodern times, but not mediev[injection]al either. Coal is still necessary for heat rnand the village is tiny and isolated. There are phones and cars, but as rnthe time progresses, the snow will render those things useless, so the rnfarther in we go, the more mediev[injection]al the village will become. On the 1st, rnthe snow has just begun to fall, but it draws interest because snow does rnnot fall very often there.

Name: Oìche Dubh

Age: 15

Gender: Male

Appearance: Oìche has features that seem to reflect his name, if only slightly. His skin is very pale, possibly due to his reluctance to go outside much, and his eyes contrast this sharply by being so dark as to almost be black. His hair hangs in a messy, shaggy cut down to his shoulders, and it would be with great difficulty that you could get him to have it cut. He stands at a small enough height, his small fr[injection]ame reaching only five foot four, and tends to prefer wearing dark clothing, particularly denim jeans and sleeveless shirts.

Personality: Oìche is, in short, a very socially awkward boy. He doesn't generally get along very well with other people, preferring to stay inside all day or in the library in a dusty corner, reading books. Asides from reading, Oìche enjoys writing himself, watching birds, and listening to music, even if he himself has very little musical talent.

He has quite a few phobias, some rightfully and others... less so. Among his more practical fears is his fear of water, acquired when he was younger and could be forced out of his home long enough to go for a swimming lesson. Having nearly drowned, he never went again and still cannot swim, so tries his hardest to keep out of large bodies of water. Another thing he avoids with a passion are spiders. This one is not caused by an experience, but rather is simply the way he is; he has been known to freeze up completely when a spider has fallen from one of the dusty shelves of the library and landed on his head.

History: Oìche has had a fairly average childhood, his mother staying at home but usually too busy with her sewing or cooking to have much time for him, being very old-fashioned, and his father spent a lot of his time out working. This could have been a factor in him being such a social recluse.
He has no siblings, and for many years his best friend was his pet cat, Bàn. However, she did eventually die of old age, and after that he had no friend at all, asides from what he describes as 'acqaintances' from school.

Gender: Female

Appearance: Amarell is very petite, standing at a modest 5' even. Her deep auburn hair waves softly to her waist. Amarell (or Ama, as she prefers to be called) has deep blue eyes and pixiesh features. She is usually dressed in long, soft skirts in deep, rich colors and loose shirts, often covered by a leather vest. At her waist is a belt with pouches, one always containing her tarot cards and set of runestones.

Personality: Ama is quiet and very studious. She loves learning in any form. She also, however, is a hard worker and devotes herself to whatever task she has been given. She excels at healing and can use herbs to cure most injuries. A motherly girl, she can usually be found nursing someone, wether a member of the village or an animal. She is very tenderhearted and can get her feelings hurt easily, but she is also fiercely protective.

History: Ama is the oldest of eight siblings. Her father is the town jeweler and her mother runs a small farm which supplies the village with rabbits and chickens. She helps to raise the youngest of her siblings, preparing meals and healing small hurts. She also studies with the Old Crone, who taught her all she knows about herbal healing, as well as how to use the runestones and tarot properly.

Name: Niel Hallows (AKA Halley or Nellie to October)

Age: 16

Gender: Male, believe it or not.

Appearance: 

Personality: Niel is a very, very sweet kid, but he's very flinchy and is easily startled. He's very clingy to October and only ever refers to him as Toby. He's also a very small teenager, only about the size of a ten-year-old because he's had a traumatic past. He loves it when people ruffle his hair because he knows then that they won't hurt him and they just want to be friends. He's also a very shy kid and usually gets October to say a lot of stuff for him because his voice is so soft anyways. Niel has a very innocent outlook on life and believes that everyone can get along if they try hard enough, and he's always the happiest when he's around those he cares about. He has a heart of gold and he acts just like a little kid most of the time. He can act mature if he wants to, but he usually reverts back to his kind, playful nature. However, sometimes he has a relapse of his past and will start crying, at which point October usually come around to help him out. One thing that never fails to calm him down is music, and this little guy simply loves to sing even though he sings rather high.

History: Niel was abused as a child, and as a result he has permanent scars and is completely blind in his right eye. His scars and his blind eye are usually covered in bandages. The reason he's so close to October is because October has always been there for him. They grew up together and through the years Toby has proven to be an excellent friend. He's protected Niel from bullying through the years, and will even sit with him to calm him down when he's having a relapse. This little guy has had a very rough life, but he's come out with a positive outlook, and throughout the years he's come to know a few other people that he's grown used to seeing.
