Wren stepped lightly away to avoid an attack that she though was coming. She stopped when the wolf starting babbling on about being the only one left.
"Um, yeah, I'm part of a pack. They're--"
She didn't have time to say anything else. Wolves from Damien's pack started rushing up out of nowhere, most of them looking angry.
The Noble's city? Wren thought, her ears twitching curiously. Her eyes narrowed as her mind ran over the possibilities of this new information. This was probably very, very bad.
It would be bad if this wolf went back and reported to the Noble City that there was an entire wolf pack wandering around. That would be a disaster, and they would most likely all be slaughtered.
No need to sugar coat it.
So, what? We need to prevent her from getting back?
"First things first. What's your name? I'm Wren." She wasn't threatening anymore, instead simply curious and thoughtful. Her mood could change instantly, like a light switch flickering on and off.

The female wolf turned to Wren raising her head a little bit. "Erika" She said softly pulling her ears back. She glanced over at Damien before whimpering at his glare. "Your a Noble's mutt. They have tamed you!" he growled looking over at Wren. "She disurves to die, Wren. Someone like her can't be fixed. She's far to old to fix what has been done" he sighed watching Erika lower herself to the ground. "What? No! I did nothing wrong!" Erika whimpered looking from Damien to Wren. "Please...I didn't touch you!" She pleaded noticing Damien's cold glare. "Please! I didn't touch you. Don't I disurve a life to? A free one? I was kicked out of my home. I am just a dog!" she whimpered placing her paws over her eyes as she lowered herself to the ground. "I just do as I am told! That's what we do!" She cried. "Wren...kill her" he snapped as his blue eyes turned to Ice. |

OOC: Okay. lol. Yeah I was editing mine because it was too short in my eyes. Sorry. Oh and Erika doesn't know she's a wolf. She thinks she's a house dog like the other dogs in the Noble city.

Dusk heard noises and ran from the post towards the noises to find Damien, Wren, triplets, and another wolf. "Wait, your going to kill her?" Dusk glared sightlessly at Damien. "you can't do that. She believes she is a dog. Being a dog is all she has ever known. Am I right?" She turned to the wolf-dog and nodded slightly. She had come just in time to hear part of the conversation...

((If im not already dangling in the air by my scruff lol.....)) Yukita rushed up and stood infront of the other wolf taking her human shape. "NO. I WONT LET YOU!" She yelled at Damien, rushing over and putting her arms around the wolf's neck. "I may be a pup, but i have a say in what goes on too." Tears began to fill her eyes.

Wren rolled her eyes. "Yeah, I was in the middle of doing that before you guys showed up." She murmured to Damien. "She was putting up a good fight."
She stole a glance at the alpha, and her ex
pression darkened. She had never seen him like this. Sure, he was harsh towards Nobles, but that was different. This wolf wasn't fighting back; she was lying on the ground, shivering, terrified.
She felt the same way.
Wren took a step forward, but Dusk and Yukita rushed to the tamed wolf's aid.
She smirked darkly at Dusk's comment, 'Being a dog is all she's ever known.'
"And that makes it okay?" She said, a hint of a snarl in her voice. "That she's slaughtered wolves? You heard her, Dusk. She told us to our faces that she and her owners killed and stuffed wolves, and put them up for display." She took another step forward, her fangs glinting. "Unforgiveable."
"If she grew up that way and didn't know it was wrong- didn't fight back- then she is more than messed up. She's beyond help."
She looked down at Erika, her crimson eyes like chips of ice. "Give me one good reason to spare your life."

"You guys are fools to beleive one such as this should survive! Once a Noble, always a Noble. Its in her blood wheather she is a wolf or a mutt. I've seen this before, I have had to deal with this before. Even if I did take her under my wing, teach her all there is to know about her own kind...she would turn. You have to be born a wolf to be a wolf, not born a slave and magically turn into a wolf" Damien growled at them. "Our blood may run in her veins, but she has the mind of a Noble. What makes this worse is that she has the mind of Darcia's Nobles. He was the one who has ever stuffed wolves and mounted them like prizes" he snarled turning his back on them. "If you want to care for her then do so, but don't expect me to help or show any mercy when something happens. And certainly don't think I am going to stick around being lead into traps. Good luck getting to paradise" He growled. ---- Erika whimpered before looking at Dusk and Yukita. "No..." she growled wiggling her neck free from Yukita. "I have killed your kind. You should be mad at me. Isn't he your leader? Shouldn't you be following him not laying down your lives for me?" She asked confused. "I know I would do anything for my master....isn't it the same?" she asked shaking her head. She looked up at Wren and sighed. "I should be punished yes, but is death really the punishment for only doing my job?" she asked looking into Wren's eyes. "Don't I disurve a secound chance at life my way?"

"He's not a master, hes a friend we entrust our lives too." Yukita smiled her human eyes shimmering in the moonlight, her silver hair swaying in the slight moonlight. "I wont let him hurt you. He's wrong, one who knows their wrong doings never turns. It's the one you least expect." She turned now hard eyes at the wolf, making sure to not give anything away.

"Damien, I have personally expierenced what it is like to live that way. Do you have any idea what these people do to get to you to kill. If you don't kill they beat you." Dusk growled. For once, she was angry at the other wolf. "I don't believe that Erika should be killed. Giv e her a chance and if she even shows one sign of trying to kill anybody, I will persoanlly help you kill her." Dusk said. "I believe in Second chances...

Wren barked out a harsh laugh. "Ha! 'Your way'? It's just as Dusk said. Being a dog is all you've ever known, just as being a Noble's slave is all you've ever known."
She turned to Dusk and Yukita. "I don't think it's unfair to let her have a second chance at life. Who knows, maybe she'll discover herself or something like that. But why does she need to come with us? It's better for everyone if she doesn't, including the Noble mutt herself." She shot Erika a mildly threatening glance.

"I am not going to put up with her at my side, Dusk. If you want to deal with her fine, but I am not going to show any sympathy towards her" Damien growled looking at Dusk with cold eyes. "I was trying to be a decent leader, letting all decide as one instead of me barking orders, but not now. If you follow me with Darcia's mutt, you loose any right you had in this pack" He growled at Dusk. "You too pup" he snapped at Yukita. "Wren...Leave them alone. Let them talk, get to know eachother, so she can take them out one by one later" he growled pulling his ears back. "Plus I am tired and I am going to get some rest. I have a long journey tomorrow" he snarled walking away. --- All Erika could do was sit there and watch the pack argue. She whimpered and layed down shutting her eyes waiting for it all to stop. |

"Or she might end up killing more wolves. Secondhandedly of course." Wren said to Dusk sarcastically. "If she comes with us she'll be brought in to the Noble City eventually. And then she'll see all her beloved masters that are so dear to her, that she would follow anywhere, and that's where she will betray us."
And then we'll all be dead. Wren thought.
She glanced at Damien and shrugged. "I'm going hunting for a bit actually, if you want to join me." Her gaze flickered to Erika as if daring her to stop Wren from hunting in 'her territory'.
She padded off into the forest, head held low as she tried to catch the scent of prey.

"Come on Damien. A good pack leader is understanding, yet cautious. This one is miles away from the city, and she hasnt been in ours." She complained standing up. "So what if I am a pup? I'm strong in my own ways and I will protect her from monsters who will kill her on the spot for background." She turned away tears streaming down her cheek. I'm the traitor not her. She thought, not helping with the tears.

Damien took no notice to the pup not really caring. He gave a growl before sighing. "If you help her...you are of no importance to me, nor belong at my side" he growled following Wren. "Actually that might just be the thing I need" Damien told Wren walking off with her to hunt prey. The more he thought about Erika the more anger built up inside him. He wanted to rip something to peices and hunting allowed him to do that. There were so many things that he did not want to remember and because of this little incident it allowed his mind to be open letting all those things flood into his mind. He glanced side ways at Wren before sighing. "After we hunt...I would like to tell you something" he sort of whispered loud enough for her to hear. "Something I have kept locked away in my soul ever since it happened" |
