Mazzy trotted around the large spacing. Seeing Fawn, she trotted to her. "Hey, umm, Fawn. This is going to be awkward but, umm, I see you don't have a beta. So, umm, I could be it." Mazzy said nervously. Her paws trotted slowly in place and the orange leaves crunched beneath her. She took a sharp breath of the crisp evening dusk, wolf. The scent was familiar, Fox. "Hey Fawn, let me get back to you. I have some, umm, things to do. If Noctis asks, tell him I went to handle Fox." Mazzy hoped Fawn wouldn't think it was an actual fox, but Mazzy had to go. Trotting for a few paces before breaking into a run, she headed in the direction of the smell. Stopping in the woods, she looked around. The scent was old. Her mind was just playing tricks on her. A body jumped on her, it's the other wolf pack. Why didn't she cross the border? She just lay there, praying silently with another body on top. She finally came to her senses and hipped the other wolf's throat. Hard, but not enough to draw blood. The wolf yelped and ran off a bit, Mazzy took the chance to stand and was just about to attack when she heard a familiar cry. "Maz, it's me." The voice was soft and angelic. It was Fox. Mazzy looked up, the young warrior had grown up. "Hello Fox." Mazzy said. Fox's eyes were shining brightly and Mazzy returned the shine in her own eyes. Mazzy attacked Fox softly, "You gave me such a fright!" Mazzy shouted. Licking her face with soft giggles escaping Fox's lips. Mazzy's mouth curled up into a smile and climbed off. "Warrior are you?" Fox shook her head, "I'm a healer now." She said. "How come?" Fox frowned, "Bad fight." Mazzy smiled a smiled of sympathy. "How's Wind Clan?" Mazzy asked. That was her old pack before she left, her dad threatened to kill her and would find her. "Your father was killed and so was his group against you." Mazzy smiled and nodded her head. "Al had pups, again." Mazzy frowned and shook her head, more brothers and sisters. "Why don't you leave Wind and join me? We need more wolves for our pack." Mazzy said, a hopeful smiled planted on her muzzle. Fox nodded, "I will come tomorrow!" With that, she trotted off and Mazzy ran back home. Thinking about their 'meeting' if that's what you could call it.
