Shay sat on a log in the forest alone. The wing making her fur ruffle slightly. She tilted her head and howled a long monrful howl.

Graystar sat beside her and nuzzled her head gently."Are you afraid your going to lose him to my sister?"Graystar asked,looking at her.

Black woke up and looked at him."Sorry.I was having a good dream until it turned into a a bad one"She said,sighing.

Lycander smiled. "Well its over now." he said standing up. "im going to go get a meal." He said before padding off into the forest at a lope his paws smacking the ground as he broke into a run.

Shay nodded. "He's my best friend...my only friend." she frowned. "and he's only ever been open with me, and now hes all googly eyes at her" the her was filled with a sarcastic tone anda twinge of disgust as shay rolled her eyes and smiled at gray star jokingly.

Graystar licked her ear,affectionately."She's the leader of our pack and she's looking for the right mate"Graystar smiled."Her last mate was killed before they could even have pups"He said.

Black nodded and smiled.She waited for Lycander to return.She smiled,hoping that Lycander would be the one she could rule her pack with and she was hoping he was the one she could be with until she died.

Shay frowned slightly. "oh. ive never had a mate" she said sadly.

Lycander came back with three squirrles hanging from his mouth and he dropped them. "This was all I could find. These lands are scarce of food.." he said apologetically.

Graystar smiled."You never know if someone in the pack likes you"He said.

Black stood up and walked over to him.She licked his ear gently and smiled."Thats okay"She said."As long as I have my pack,I'll live for years"She said.

Lycander smiled and nuzzled her before picking up a squirrel in his jaws and biting down, enjoying the taste.

Shay looked up hopeful. "Really? you think so..? I haven't really had a chance to meet anyone yet though..." she pondered the thought.

"Really.You never know if I might like you"He grinned.

Black smiled and bit down into one of the squirrels,savoring the taste.When she was done,she walked back to her rock and laid down,facing her pack.

Shay blushed and scooted away a little. "u-u-uh... Really?" she said shocked and happy that he liked her back.

Lycander tied the tail to his and waved it around and made squeaking noises silly.

"Really"Graystar said,smiling."We should get back to the den before they begin to worry"Graystar said.

Black looked at him and giggled.She jumped down from her rock and walked over to him.She licked his head and smiled."your so silly"she giggled.

Lycander laughed and flicked he tail of nipping her ear playfuly.

"Yeah uhm okay.." she agreed her mind blank as she headed towards camp.

Black growled playfully and jumped on him.She giggled and nipped his ear,smiling.She had been so upset about her mate dying and now she was jumping on Lycander and nipping his ear.

Graystar smiled and followed her.When they got back to the den,Graystar went and laid down by his sick mother.

Lycander giggled quietly and tried to push her off reluctuntly. He nipped her ear and rolled again. He woofed and wagged his tail like a taunting flag.
