Steel noticed a rabbit. His eyes darkened, glimmering dangerously as he breathed in the scent of the small creature. His jaws agape and his nose quivering, Steel focused, eyebrows furrowing up in concentration... "Sphoo!" Flames danced at Steel's paws, licking greedily at his fur.

(After a long hiatus, I return and immediately drop into a wolfie RP. Sorry for the incompleteness, I'll tidy up the post a bit later.)

Name: Copper

Breed: Timber wolf, but with some collie from his father's side.

Gender: Male

Looks: Copper is almost as red-orange as his name, with a white belly and paws, and his extremely fluffy fur makes his legs seem disproportionally short for his size. His ears seem almost buried in the long fur around his neck, but his snout is a long, with a few awkward tufts on his lower jaw that gives his snout an uneven appearance. His tail curls over his back no matter how hard he tries to hold it strait, and he's not happy at all about it. Having lead a charmed life, Copper has no scars or scratches at all, and doesn't intend to develop any.

Personality: Though not very clever, Copper does try very hard to be polite to people, and most of the times he succeeds. He's a cheerful, bouncy type of wolf at most times, though he can be a bit snooty at times without realizing. His main flaw is his inability to look at the larger picture, and so tends to think others are "overreacting" most of the time.

History: Daddy wolf wasn't a wolf at all, but instead a large collie-type dog, which accounts for Copper's long fur, while his mother was a dainty little thing with a mean streak that didn't carry into her son at all. As in all normal wolf packs, only the pups of the alpha were allowed to live, and Copper and his three brothers had a perfectly happy pup-hood. One day he found himself all grown up, and of course, he had to leave the pack. Nothing personal- they all have to move out some time. Now Copper is off in search of females and food (though he still finds girls to be a bit confusing)

Powers: Powers were considered a shameful thing in his old pack. Copper was a good boy, completely and one hundred percent normal.

Rank: Loner, for now.

Additional Info: He doesn't know how to swim, or hunt very well. He mainly gets around by eating carrion- it's okay, he likes it after it's been left out for a while. The maggots are crunchy.

Intro: (Coming soon)

As she searched, Luna spotted a flash of flames, and caught the scent of something canine. This should be interesting. She started to glide towards the spot where she had seen the flames, wonder what could have caused them. Were there humans in these woods, she wondered?

OoC: Great Lakore! :) Aardwolf, sure!

Steel was silent as flames licked at the leaves, making them wither and turn black. The flames reflected off his eyes. He contained the golden smoke carefully, not allowing it to move out of control. Then - "Sphoo!" the flames dissapeared from his paws and were on the rabbit, licking at it's fur and making it screech. Steel (Sympathetic) snatched the rabbit, killing it swiftly.

Steel grand dampened out the flame with his long-charcoaled pads, dancing in place on the black, smoking ground to be sure a forest-fire wouldn't start. The fire licked at his flesh as a last goodbye, and it was out in an instant. Klaus nodded in approval, licking his lips at his cooked-rabbit.

"Man, life is good," Klaus said to the rabbit, before taking a hasty bite. He chewed thoughtfully, then - delighted with his meal - snatched the whole thing up and gulped it down with a contented burp.

Haze paced the hole, getting antsy. Her ears twitched in irritation and she began to whine, leaping against the wall, the cold clay squishing between her toes. Her claws made deep indents. She began to think .., maybe... but then she realized the female dog was most likely powered. Hmm, good.

Haze sighed, "So, uh, how are we planning on getting back up?" she asked critically, tilting her head and glancing at the top where a young male wolf sat, looking quite grumpy. She smirked.

Name: Howdy

Breed: Timber wolf

Gender: Female

Looks: Howdy is a tomboy, tough female. She has a gleaming red coat that is, in fact, very gorgeous looking in the sunlight, but usually goes up in little tufts. When its not tufty, its wavy - a natural, slight wave goes along her sides. She is sturdy and average-sized. She has a big, bushy, fox-like tail and short pointed ears. She is thin and young. Her nose is dark black and her snout is more of a brown, then fading to her dark, rich red color. She has a scar across her eye - (like Scar from the Lion King... weeee!) and speaking of her eyes, they are a brighter yellow color than most wolves'. Her hips curve down like a German shepherd - she trots like one too.

Personality: Howdy - she is sarcastic and tough. She would be a hard-hearted ranch dog if she had been born a canine. She acts older than she is. Male wolves take a look and see a beautiful, fun dog. They get a gruff, tough and rough tomboy. Other than this - I'll RP it out.

History: Nothing much.

Powers: ... I'll think about it.

Rank: ... We'll see.

Additional Info: She is terrified of fire.

Intro: You don't need one. :P

OoC: Stuff I left outta the bio: Howdy's power is blindness... not her being blind, but she can make other wolves go blind for a few minutes or longer, depending on how long she concentrates on blackig them out.

RANKS, GUYS:

I know some of you are confused on ranks... once all the wolves find each other, a pack will be formed. The wolves will find a pecking order among each other. There MUST be a leader, a beta and a omega. You can't just "call it". If that was allowed I would be all three. You are going to either peacefully elect your ranks or fight for dominance. Got it? Good.

[[Orrite, Shep. ]]

Vorlos was travelling with his sister. He had the sharper ears, as they pricked to hear a haunting howl travel through the night's breath. He paused, letting out a howl in return. Leto stopped too, but rolled her eyes. "I doubt they'll find us, Vorlos." She said impatiently. Vorlos shrugged. "Can't help but try, right?" He countered lamely, as they started walking together again.

---

Halphas twitched his ears when he heard a howl after the old one. The wolf was near. Not wanting to encounter any more hostile predators tonight, he slunk off hastily, considering climbing a tree. Halphas curled his lip. Climb a tree? That was for cowards. Pride was Halphas' biggest downfall, after all.

---

Basira had watched another wolf hunt down what was supposed to be her prey. She flicked her tail pathetically. Basira was always the submissive one, letting others trample her down. But her belly growled, tonight she was hungry, as she had not eaten in a day. She tried creeping up on the devastated mother of the dead calf, but even grief could not cloud the elk's wariness. The male reared up in the air, hooves kicking the wind dangerously.

Basira let out a low whine, she was desperate. She leapt up onto the retreating female, who had as-sumed she would run away because of her mate. Basira clung onto the side of the female elk, hunger urging her strength. She bit down harder, mouth watering with the blood from the elk. The elk kicked and bucked violently, while her mate had scored a deep gash on Basira's back left leg when it flew in the air for a moment due to the bucking. She had bitten a chunk off the female elk, flying off and landing on the gra-ss with a heavy thud.

The male elk bellowed triumphantly, galloping towards Basira at great speed. But the meager piece of meat from the elk's mate had given Basira little strength, as she barely had time to get up and blunder through the clearing, hiding behind a tree. The other wolf had retreated, leaving her alone. 'Perhaps there are other wolves here'. She thought. "Help! Help!" She cried out desperately.

Howdy pricked her ears as she heard a wolf shriek. She sighed, then began to lope along the soft ground towards the noise. Her speed intensified as she gained ground, and she soon noticed the issue. A young female wolf was being charged by a bull. ((right?)) She leapt through the undergrowth, springing from the thick forest and flying through the air. She had always been a fantastic leaper because of her powerful legs, and they aided her as she barreled into the bull elk, full force. He grunted in pain as Howdy crashed into his ribcage, swiftly wrapping her powerful arms around his thick, muscled neck. He snorted in outrage, tossing his antlers and bucking like a horse. But Howdy gritted her teeth and sunk them into his neck, hanging on for dear life. The bull roared, his warm, angry breath rustling her fur. And with a pained grunt, he flung her off, blood imeadiately streaming down his neck and soaking his fur a crimson color.

Howdy was flung backwards - spinning through the air until she she knocked into a tree - followed by a sickening thud. She yelped as she hit the bare bark. Muttering a few foul words, Howdy lifted her flopped body up, noticing her leg was jutting at a strange angle and bleeding badly. The bull zoned in on her, snorting, and began to turn the tables, loping towards her. Howdy's eyebrows furrowed up... she focused in... and ... Yes. Her powers took hold of the bull, blinding him. He roared, spinning in vexation. Then he tossed his head as if something was obscuring his vision. Howdy took the few minutes she had to limp away towards the other female.

Steel lifted his head from his rabbi as he heard a commotion. His mouth was wet and scarlet, tufts of white fur hanging loosely from his jaws. Tilting his head, Steel went to investiage, tail swishing in cautiousness as he peered out of the trees and out towards the tundra where the elk grazed. He noticed a young female hiding in some trees, and another female with a clearly broken leg limping towards her. He snorted and trotted towards the two females in interest.

[[Yupyup :3 ]]

Basira stared, open-mouthed. "What did you do?" She asked in a hoarse and almost awed whisper. The male elk was thrashing around in an almost frustrated manner. "Are you alright?" Blood was oozing out of her leg, stuck in a strange angle. Basira paid no attention to the stinging gash the bull made on her leg. Compared to this wolf's, it was like a minor scratch.

Basira noticed the elk, still apparently frustrated. He seemed to be cantering and galloping around in all directoins. Not knowing if the female wolf had done something to him, Basira limped over in a hurried pace to hurl herself onto the wolf's belly, landing a hard bite on the weak spot. The elk snorted and roared in rage, snapping and kicking everywhere. Basira was afraid of moving with her injured leg, instead just clinging on helplessly onto the bull's belly with her teeth, frantically moving her front legs up to her mouth level to scratch and tear at the bull's fur, quickly exposing flesh.

OoC:  "Basira limped over in a hurried pace to hurl herself onto the wolf's belly, landing a hard bite on the weak spot." You mean bull's belly? :3

Howdy didn't reply right away. She looked down at her leg, licking away the blood. She hoped it would heal correctly. She looked at the other wolf's leg. "What about you? You got yourself into a mess too." Howdy's leg might've been more dramatically hurt, but this other wolf could still easily get a ghastly infection.

(( Here's hoping you don't mind if I post the intro here, if I'm not in I'll just poof this away. Long post is long. :) ))

Head held high, the young wolf trotted- no, pranced through the forest, paws crunching the dry leaves on the ground with a triumphant crackle. Nothing too cocky, of course, in case something really nasty heard him, but auntie had always preached the importance of a good self esteem. He'd praise himself if no one would, (not that his aunt needed any of that, with all the complements she'd gotten) and it made a nice break from all the creeping and crawling Copper had been doing as of late.

Things had been going great ever since he'd left the pack- no sight of men, or other wolves for that matter, and lots of fantastic things to eat, and maybe some not-so fantastic things which were in the end okay but didn't taste all the well going down.

Only one thing bothered him- and when he wasn't thinking about it, it still itched in the corner of his mind like a bad bout of fleas. It was that embarra.ssing, but never once had he caught his own prey. There always were nice things to eat if you looked hard enough, but when he did try to chase the squirrels, they just jumped out from right under his paws. It had been terribly upsetting the first time, and so Copper had risked it less and less, until he was only half-heartedly clawing at the trees. And he'd almost stopped thinking about it too, unless one of of the not-so fantastic things was clogging up his stomach and he was wishing for fresh food like he'd had back in the pack.

He'd been so deep in thought that he'd almost forgotten to keep prancing. Once again, the red-gold wolf perked up his ears and resumed his sauntering. Yes, that was better. Much, much better.

His nose twitched. The scent of smoky and irritating prickled in the air, and it didn't smell like anything nice at all, almost like fire-

- oh dear, that sounded quite horrible, and Copper certainly didn't want to imagine the flames devouring flesh and fur at this time of day, but he couldn't help it now that something had started screeching-

-and now it was gone. Feeling faintly puzzled, Copper plopped down onto his furry haunches and tilted his ear towards the noise, and to his surprise, heard a faint burp.
