Spirit started to laugh at how silent he was,then said,"Here come to my den and I'll let you have my extra pelts for your bed so you can stay warm.",then she picked up the pup,put him on her back and walked up the small mountain to her den at the very top of it.

Spirit stopped at the top of the mountain near her den,picked up the pup by the tuft of it's neck and set down the small pup on the rocky ground,"Here we are!",she said walking into the den.

Spirit nodded and pointed to the small arrangment of pelts in a corner near the back of the cave lightly lit by a few candles Spirit had seen in the river and picked up thinking they would be useful and smiled saying,"That will be your place to sleep."

Spirit laughed,"I heard humans saying it was called 'fire'.",Spirit clawed a small rock and little sparks hit a pile of wood she used for warmth and the wood caught on fire,"See."

Spirit smiled,"You need your sleep little pup to build up your strength for tomorrow.",she smiled again and got up and walked over to the entrance to the den,sat down straight and proudly,and started to howl beautifully making all the animals stop and listen that were around the den and once she stopped she looked back at Pico and walked back to her pelt bed,layed down,and watched Pico not wanting to sleep in fear he might be stolen and hurt/killed.
