Pico closed his eyes and fell asleep almost at once.

"Why do you have to be so nice all the time?" Renn complained to her brother as they walked behind a small gray pup who was prancing along through the soft cold snow with a slight limp.

"Well it was helpless and it's cute." Zack said as he watched the young pup hum a song as she played into the snow as they walked around aimlessly.

"No you just wanted someone to play with." Renn said as she rolloed her eyes, "You can be so imature some times." Renn let out a huff sending a white cloud into the air.

"Well It's not my fault your to mature and cant have fun once in a while." Zack said.

"You'll get bored with it after a day or so of playing and then what will we do with it?" Renn asked. She felt sorry for the small pup and all but she didn't know how to be a mom and she knew that Zack would only be good for playing around with.

"How about we find a pack and drop it off there. I'm sure someone wouldn't mind picking up a poor little malchad." Renn sugested.

Zack sighed, "Fine. deal. But can we stay there a little bit before we leave again?"

"We might as well get out strength up and plus getting a long with a pack would be good if and when we run into trouble some time down the way." Renn said.

"YAY! Thank you soooooo much." Zack said as he lovingly licked his sisters cheek.

"Alright alright I get your point now lay off." Renn said. She couldn't hold back the slight laugh.

The pup turned around, "where we going?" She asked slowing down a bit so that she was inbetween the two larger wolves.

"We aren't sure yet Rose." Renn said. She sniffed the air to see where the closest pack would be. She could smell a couple wolves not to far off and it seemed as if they were malchads. I'm sure they wouldn't mind another. Renn thought to herself.

"This way." Renn said as she made a slight turn towards the two wolves that she smelled.

Rose heard the howl and stoped dead inn her tracks her bright green eyes wide with terror, "W-who's t-that?" She asked looking up at Renn and Zack for some reasurence.

"We don't know yet Rose but we'll find out soon. It's OK." Renn said. She picked up Rose in her maw so that they could continue walking. It didn't take them lond to reach the clearing just below the small mountain. They could all clearly see the den at the top and a black she-wolf standing outside the den.

Renn put Rose down inbetween her front paws so that she could talk to the wolf, "Hello." Renn said as she looked back up the mountain again.

"Are you sure this is a good idea?" Zack asked. He didn't seemed conserned at all though.

"Sence when did use start useing common sence?" Renn asked looking back at her brother.

"Since we were with child." He said. He chickled at the joke he made.

"Your not very funny." Rennsaid as she looked back up at the wolf.

"I'm Renn, This is my brother Z-"Renn got caught off when Zack nudged her in the ribs, "I think I can introduce myslef thank you very much." He said to Renn but she only rolled her eyes and let him say his piece.

"I'm Zack." He smiled at Spirit they way he smiles at everyone.

"And this is," Renn ruffled Roses head and bent to her, "Come on tell her your name. She's just like you see her paw. She's alright." Renn whispered to Rose.

Rose noded looking at Spirits paw, "I-I'm Rose." Rose said looking up at Spirit with big green eyes. She look as scared now more curious than anything.

"We just kind of found the pup as we were wondering around the area." Renn said standing up straight again.

"Yeah uh just...wandering." Zack repeated.

"It's fine." Renn said not meaning to sound as if she wanted Spirit to contiue bowing to her.It would make her feel right.

"Well we were wondering if we might be able to stay for a couple days. We can help hunt and evrything we just need a place to stay for a little bit and if it's not to much to ask I kind of want to ask if you couls maybe take Rose in for us. My brother here thought that we would be able to take care of her but I don't think I can adn I know for sure that he wouldn't be able to too." Renn said that last part quietely so that she didn't hurt Roses feeling if she over heard but Rose and Zack and wandered off a bit an had started playing. Rose had takled Zack and he had pretended to die. Rose was laughing and let out a wide yawn before falling alseep on his chest.

Zack looked at the sleeping Rose on his chest and gently picked her up and wrapped his bady around her to keep her warm. She put her tail over the sleeping body and licking the small gray form.

"So we can stay?" Renn asked uncertain of the answer.

Renn noded to Spirit before she climbed up the mountain again, She turned around motioning Zack to follow. He got up picking up Rose carefully and climbing up the mountain too. They didn't want to disturbe Pico so they found another smaller den on the mountain top and curled up together there. Zack and Rose lay in the back while Renn sits out in front of the small cave. It wasn't that she didn't trust the place she just wanted to make sure nothing might happen to Rose.

"You sure you don't want to switch?" Zack asked quietly from the back as he watched his sisters still dark form at the mouth of the cave.

"No I'm good just get some sleep." Renn replyed and Zack did as he was told.

"Yup that's me." He said smiling glad she remembered his name.

"It was good for me and Rose slept like a log but Renn doesn't sleep much anyways so I think she's fine." Zack said as Spirit asked about their night. He could tell that something wa bothering her though. He was good at reading people expretions even when they try to hide them and most people aren't very good at hiding their feelings.

Zack looked at the food storage and noded,"So thats why your so worried." Zack said before smiling back at Spirit, "Come on follow me I saw a great place for hunting just outside your territory." Zack said as he started bounding away from the mountain. He stopped to see if Spirit was following.
