Zack hurried off quietly trying to be quick so as not to keep Spirit waiting. About half an hour later Zack returned dragging the carcass of a full grown deer. He dropped it in front of Spirit and smiled, "Bon Apetite." He smiled and nudged it closer to her.

Spirit turned back onto her stomach before lifting her head,"Thanks.",she said before she began to eat the carcass and when she was finished there was only a little bit left for Zack,"I'm sorry that I almost ate it all.",she said quietly.

Zack woke up excitedly as the first rays of sun entered the cave. His tail wagged fast like the wings of a humming bird and he stood up and rushed to the entrance of the den and looked out onto the forest below. The snow had almost all been melted and he could see in the field not to far away that flowers were begingin to bloom. He trotted back over to sleeping Spirit who's stomach was now quite large with the pups that were due any day now and he gently nudged her, "Hey Spirit!" He whispered enthusiasticly, "It's the first day of spring!" |

(Yay!) Spirit raised her head and yawned,"What?",she asked still half asleep. Spirit then waiting for an answer began to,slowly,get up for the bed of pelts. (((Lol Renn and Rose still zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzing.)))

(((Lol hybernating wolves go zzzz all winter long.))) Spirit finally caught what he had said as she walked to the entry way of the cave and saw the melting snow and spring flowers,"It's spring!",she yelled her eyes getting wide.
