"OK well first off you have to smell the prey right? Well if the wind is coming from behind you and the prey is somewhere in front of you then the prey will smell you so you will need to some how get on the other side of the animal so it can't smell yu anymore." Renn finished explaining hoping the pup got at least some of that.

"Exactly." Renn said. She crouched down her stomach brushing the cold snow, "crouch down as close to the ground as you can and open you muzzle a bit as you breath in and you should be able to smell a bit better."

((It's fine and sorry for taking so long to reply my computer is wacky.))
Renn furrowed her brow questioningly as she took in a breath and nodded rnslowly. Renn could smell Jaidlan and Zack and knew they were near the rnsnow leopard. Niether of them seemed scared so she figured they were rnfine plus if they were in danger Jaidlan could handle it. The pup was rnfar off and near the Tumfraw and if she hadn't smelled it before then itrn must have just been put there. As for the 'other' Renn couldn't quite rnput her paw on what it was but she could smell if too. If she didn't rnknow what it was there was no way she would drag Spirit along with her rnto go check it out and she would leave the adventurous pup alone.

The pup jumped up when she heard the snow leopard close by. She yelped an ran off, and accidentally bumped into Spirit.

Felix, hearing the rumour about the snow leopard, bounded as fast as he could towards the first packmate his eyes fell on. "What's this about, Renn? Snow leopards?" he asked in an authoritative growl, his eyes travelling swiftly over the landscape, searching for potential threat.

The pups eyes became wide as she saw the wolves around her. "Please don't hurt me..." she muttered, covering her head with her paws. The Snow Leopard crashed out of the forest. Seeing the wolves, it bared it's teeth. "Prey with them. Gotta leave." The Snow Leopard thought. With a growl it started to walk away, but it would come back for it's prey someday.

"Well Spirit and I smell one near Zack and Jaidlan but they don't smell like they're scared. Zack smells kind of apprehensive but Jaidlan seems fine." Renn replied to Felix. She then turned to the nearly all white pup. She seemed scared and bewildered. Renn lightly nudged the pup sittIng don next to, "You're OK now." she crooned. |
