There was nothing Lux
Lucis loved more than feeling the wind through her fur. And the best time of
the day for such pleasures was before the Sun crossed the horizon. On this
particular day, she had decided to wander a little way from the camp. As she
surged forward, she wondered what her brother would say if he knew where she
was today. She'd probably get a good nip on the ear for it, but who cared.
Certainly not her.
The
sky had become lighter now, and Lucis decided she had to turn back. As she
entered the camp, she could see Felix standing tall on a rock, head inclined at a strange angle. Smirking
lightly, she slunk away through the foliage. ~ Felix gazed long at the sky, ears pricked. He thought he saw something move through the corner of his eye, a flash of black through the green undergrowth. He sighed forcefully, just in case his bratty little sister was around to hear it, and hopped down from the rock. A sudden yelp captured his attention and he loped ungracefully across the grass in the direction of the sound. |

Barks again to say,"Save me!",then she nipped a thing she thought was a tail and barked again to say,"I'm hungry!"

Renn looked down at the now livly pup biting her tail. She moved her tail off the pup, "I uh....do you eat meat yet?" she asked. She was hoping the answer would be yes but she didn't get her hopes up. Renn kept the still frightfully cold pup close to her curling her tain around it again but making sure it's mussle was out of the fur.

Shakes head to say no,and yips for food,getting mad she barks again,but louder this time and starts to make quite a ruckus.

((Oh I thought Spirit was from a different pack that threw her out but then found her way here....))
"Oh..well I think the alpha female might be able to feed you but she's kind of busy right now." Renn said looking down at the pup. Renn wasn't all that used to talking to pups. She was used to picking out the deformed ones from it's mother before it ever got the chance to suckle and take it out to the tumfraw to die. Other than that she never really interacted with pups. Other than Jaidlan. |

Aralei tumbled clumsily across the patches of slippery frost. She didn't like how the sharp cold shot up her claws and how the tiny flakes melted under her paws. Baring her teeth, she could taste winter in the chilly breeze. Nearing the pack, she could hear the tiny mewlings of kits begging for food. The poor things. Without enough food, they would never be able to survive the winter. Foolishly, she had hoped that winter would come late this year and that there would be enough food to go around. The kits looked so scrawny, like they would barely make it through another day, but she had to trust the alphas to make the best desicions for the pack.

Spirit quit making noise and turned on her belly playfully and showed her deformed paw and smiled forgeting her hunger and started pawing the wolf with her deformed paw lovingly and decided that this wolf was going to be her mom,"Momma...",Spirit barked,"Momma!!",she said more boldly.

Renn pawed lightly at the pup playing with it kind of like she used to Jaidlan but stopped when she said Momma, "No...no hun I'm not your momma." Renn shook her head the slightl smile that had foremed on her lips had vanished. Renn stood up picking the pup up around the neck and finally walking into the den and setting it down gently in front of the alpha female, "This is your momma alright." Renn said.

Spirit whimpered and stubled back to her,yelling,"She not mom,you mom!!",and stumbled closer whimpering louder and,then fell down and started to cry loudly,saying,"M-momma!!",with big tears running down her face and she opened her mouth wide and yelled once more,"Momma!!"

Renn paded over to the pup, "Look kid, You don't want me as a momma because I take all the little puppies just like you, "Renn nudges Spirits deformed paw, "to the tumfraw. You know what that place is right?" Renn said. Renn wasn't ready to have a pup of her own nor did she think that if she were ready that she would be a good mother.

Spirit barks,"I don't care,you momma,ok?!",she demanded and said boldly,"Your my obea momma!",and she cuddled up next to her new mom and nuzzled her leg,then muttered out,"My new obea momma."

"Great." Renn muttered before picking up the pup again around the neck and taking her into her own den. Renn set down the pup in her own bundle of pelts and moss before heading out to go get some of the pups own bedding. On her way to find what she needed Renn realized that she didn't even know the pups name. It looked old enough that it would have a name by now annd told herself not to forget to ask when she came back. Renn hunted down rabits and mice to come up with the pelts and gatthered some moss as well and headed back to the clearing and slowly and quietly padded into the den and srated setting up a place in the corner for the pup to seep. Ren placed moss down first to make the floor not so hard and them layered that with some of the pelts and them made a cover to keep the pup warm when it slept and then placed the pup in it's own bed, "There you go." Renn said quietly

Spirit smiled and asked,"What name?",and then curled up on the pelts,but she kept her head up waiting for the answer,then her stumach rumbled as she was waiting for the answer and she started growling back at her stomach,then blurted out,"Bad stomach,shut-it,I want hear momma answer!!",and then she swatted her stomach with her splayed spiral paw and growled again,then said,"Quit growling,now!!"

"I'm Renn." Renn said, "And whats your name?" She asked. She nudged over one of the smalled mice to the pup, "try this you need to start trying to eat meat." Renn said. She hoped that the alpha female would be willing to help her out with the pup since she had no idea how to take care of one. Renn took one of the rabints and started tareing away at it.

"I'm Spirit",she said swatting the mouse to make sure it was dead,then with her little sharp teeth and claws she started trying to rip the meat into small peices so she could easily chew it,then she finally got it ripped apart and started eating and when she finally finished she said,"Thank you,momma.",and layed on her back looking back at her new mom thinking,I like my new momma,then she smiled at her new mom.

"No problem." Renn after Spirit finished the mouse. Renn started licking Spirit to clean the blood from the food off of her, "So what do you want to do?" Renn asked after she cleaned up the pup. Renn placed her head on her paws as she looked the pup over. Renns tail twitched behind her swaying back and forth.
Zack padded over to Renns den to figure out what the small black thing she had been carrying was. He peeked his head inside her den, "Hey." He said smiling at her as she turned around, "What ya got there?" He asked tilting his head and looking at the little fuzz ball in the newly made nest. "This is Spirit, my uh...pup." Renn said. It felt so weird to be telling her brother that she had a pup. "Really? You have a pup? Wow...where was I during the whole buldging stomach thing?" He asked "No it didn't happpen like that I kind of found her." Renn said. "OH alright that makes more sence I guess." Zack invited himself into the den and layed down next to Renn and looked the pup over. |
