Cypher had retreated into the shadows of the village's wall. He watched the three, nervous lines appearing around his mouth. He wasn't welcome in villages sometimes. This one was no exception. There was a werewolf here that would love to rip is head off. Not to mention his old friend Cerebrus. He grimaced.

Hyena coughed, hacking up some blood. That wasn't good. He fluttered his eyes closed, completely ignoring Ren and the other guy. He wished now that he'd taken time to learn healing magic, because the healers would have to know some pretty advanced magic, even for master, in order to heal his body since it wasn't originally human.

Cypher watched Hyena. He frowned and slowly, his own healing power reached out to him. he felt his energy drain, but he ignored it. FInally, when he was done, he sagged against the wall. Immortals had an amazingly fast healing rate. Sometimes, they were able to reach out and heal others.

Hyena snapped his eyes open; they locked on Cypher. "We do not know each other well; why would you help Hyena?" he asked softly, though his voice sounded crisp and clear. "As far as his kind is aware, our species are at odds with one another."

Cypher smiled grimly. "It doe snot matter to me whether or not there is war between us. Your are hurt and in pain. I have the ability to make it go away. What is the point of having it if I cannot use it for not just myself but for others?" He asked quietly. His voice was raw and he was leaning heavily against the tree.

Hyena sat up slowly. "But now you are suffering because of him. How can he thank you?" he asked. "Do not tell him it was simply a favor, it is not how Hyena works. He will repay the favor. Must repay the favor."

Cypher smiled faintly. "That's the problem though. I expect no favors and I want none." His smile turned grim. "You've given me the favor already by letting me come with you..." he muttered. He rubbed his temple, pushing back a memory that threatened to emerge and force him into that awful pain once more. Now was not the best time.

"If there is anything else he can do, let him know," Hyena said. "And you do not have to hide in the shadows; Hyena will protect you from dangers while we are in the city." He smiled, slowly and carefully getting to his feet. He poked his ribcage, checking for any more wounds. He'd been healed thanks to the immortal.

Cypher's smile turned to a small frown. "Hyena..... The dangers of this town for me is the town itself...." He muttered quietly. But he detached himself from the comforts of the shadowy wall and trailed over to the group. He kept the cowl of his cloak up, hiding his face. But it would be no use if the other creatures scented him. His scent, so he had been told, was shard to forget.

Hyena let out a dry laugh. "The dangers of this town cannot touch you if Hyena is protecting you. He is older than he seems, much more powerful, too. You would be surprised." He smiled; it was pretty ironic that a horse had put him into such terrible conditions. Then again, humans had brittle bones compared to his species. "Do not worry, Cypher. Nothing will happen."

Cypher started slightly when Hyena said his name. He grimaced. "You might be old, yet i have been around long enough to have many enemies. Powerful and weak..." He sighed and gritted his teeth. "Let's go..." he muttered quietly.

"That does not change the fact Hyena will protect you," the dragon said decisively. He nodded at Cypher's comment and started moving toward the inn. He began muttering to himself about how to get enough money to keep a rent up on a room.

Cypher this time, smiled. "Leave that, to me." he said, grinning. He walked up to the bartender. "Hey there Old Bill." he whispere,d grinning. The bartender started and peered closely at his face. "Little John! Why I never! What you doing around here?" He asked, excitement in his eyes. Cypher smiled. "I'm searching for a room and I decided to go by my favorite inn. Got any rooms?" he asked. The bartender laughed a deep laugh that shook the room. "Sure! On the house!" The bartender slapped him on the back. "Good to have ya back Little John." he laughed. Cypher laughed a quiet laugh and returned to hyena with their room keys. "Room service?" He said with a broad grin.

Hyena laughed. "What luck!" he observed, holding his hand out for his key. "A shame no one remembers Hyena, otherwise he would have jobs to gain money," he sighed softly. "But he has been asleep for decades, that d*mned witch, and as usual memories were wiped clean of his being." He shook his head, bangs falling into his face.

"So instead of worrying, show Hyena to his room," Hyena suggested. "And then you can help him find work, just so that you are not alone. The girls will have to be on their own for now, he is fond of them but his own well-being comes first."

Cypher laughed and he walked up the stairs and led him to room 007. He handed him the keys. "Here ya Go Hyena. IF you want to find work, I suggest the barn. I have another friend there. Just tell him Little John sent ya there." Cypher grinned and then he walked away, his form hidden by the black cloak he wore. He glanced around the room in the inn, his cowl hiding his face. He instantly noticed one man watching him. Suddenly, another man sat down at the watching man's table and bagan to converse with him. he grimaced. it was the Blooddrinker he had met in the previous town. Was he following him? He grimaced. he would have to take care of that. For now, he ordered a beer and sat at the bar, drinking it slowly.

Hyena smirked as he walked into his room. Working in a barn? No, that wouldn't do. He'd send out the message that he was back and return to his other work. He freshened up a bit before leaving again, slipping into the streets. He glanced around, searching for the scent of a few particular people. "Where are you, cubs?" he murmured to himself. "Hyena is back..." He set off, turning his head this way and that.
