Ren nodded. "Of course. You're better at picking clothes than me, actually," she commented, remembering that she the only extra clothes she had were a bit plain: breeches and tunics, but she liked the simplicity of it. "After we're done, we should go to the inn and wait for Hyena. I've been sensing a presence since we came, but it's very faint. The presence resembles the dragons, but a bit more alien and different." Renali furrowed her brows, trying to find the right words but gave up. "Tell me when you're finished. I haven't had women-bonding time for a while, considering most guards are men...and not all of them are very educated in hygiene even when they have the time." A sigh had escaped her lips as she shrugged.

Hyena had dropped to all four paws. He moved quickly over the soggy ground, barely touching the ground as he moved. Unfortunately the rain had washed away any scents, but he could still sense the mind. From what he could tell, it was a creature even he hadn't run across before. He paused, turning his head this way and that. From this point he proceeded carefully, calling out in a soft rumble. It was a soft sound, meant to be merely inquisitive. For some reason he couldn't pinpoint the creature based on his senses.

[I feel flattered. :3 It's good to know that even if I'm off you can keep going. That's always a good sign.]

Ix giggled softly at Renali's comment and disapeared behind a screen to try on an outfit the tailor brought to her. "I haven't had women-bonding time in a while either, it's nice" she said her voice happy. "How does this look?" she asked stepping out from behind the screen. The outfit was simple enough, a white shirt with long flared sleeves and a slightly low collar tucked into a pair of brown trousers that fit loosely on her legs but held to her hips she. "Alright? Or should I try something else?" 

(Sorry for the late reply, my internet poofed last night and my teacher kept me after school today cause he forgot he promissed to meet me during 7th to give me absent work XP Also I appologise if this post is fail XD)

"I think it looks perfect," Ren replied, "Stylish too, yet simple." The girl wasn't exactly the best at offering critiques, but she tried nevertheless. "Oh, and I got us several horses. The guard said we can just return them to the next guard-house we come across..." Ren, for a split second, got an adventurous twinkle in her eye, but it faded just as soon as it appeared. "One is a strawberry-roan mare, and the other a midnight black. You can choose which one you'd like, or let the horse choose you. The stallion is for Hyena, since it seemed to be the biggest one available for him." The girl paced back and forth in the shop, admiring the clothes. "Shall we get to the stables and wait when you're finished?"

[Agreed. spiked.~ And not a fail, monchan. :O Ugh...so sore today. How is everyone? @_@] 

After several minutes, Hyena had failed to locate the noise he heard. Shrugging, he turned and leaped back toward the town. Just outside of it, still out of sight, he transformed back into a human. He still couldn't let people know he was a dragon. Striding into the town, he looked around, dark eyes curious and clearly wanting to explore. The many people there were blocking his being able to locate Ren and Ix directly, so he simply wandered around. No harm in that, right?

[I'm fine. I dunno why you're sore, but dodgeball made me sore surprisingly. We didn't have it today though; it got rained out. :3]

Ix nodded and payed the tailor for the clothing. She didn't want to walk back to the inn in wet clothing and figured she could just keep near the buildings out of the rain. "I haven't ridden a horse in a while"  Ix laughed. "I think it would be better if the horse chooses me" she said gathering up her still wet dress and vest. She walked over to stand beside Ren and smiled "I'm ready to go if you are" she said.

((I'm alright, kinda tired. I drew a pic of Ix today though so I'm happy. Anyone want to see it?))

"Let's go," Ren gave a smile. "Rainy weather always makes me sleepy...hey, is that Hyena over there?" The girl asked as she tried to tiptoe to get a better look above the pa.sserby crowd. She waved her hand to signal to him. "Wonder where he went off to," she said as she rubbed her bare arms for warmth. "We should all head to the inn and get acquainted with the horses. And a steaming mug of tea wouldn't be so bad either. This rain doesn't look like it'll let up for a while." As if on cue, the drops poured harder and were, unfortunately, a bit chubbier compared to the rain earlier.

[Practice. I hate frog jumps. :( I had rain last weekend; I miss it. ; ;  I'd like to see it Monchan.~ :O]

Hyena caught the signal. Smiling and still soaking wet he strode over to them. "Hello," he greeted brightly. "You got a place at the inn, right? Human skin feels the cold, so Hyena is feeling cold. He would like the warmth. Yis, warmth." He nodded, shifting a little uncomfortable as his clothes clung to his body. "Also wet clothes are annoying. It makes Hyena feel... hm. What is the word? It is sort of like uncomfortable, but not really." He paused a moment, thinking about this. "Awkward!" he stated, grinning.

[Same, I wanna see it!]

"Rany weather bothers me, I like the heat, the dry heat" Ix sighed pressing closer to the wall, she did not want to get wet again. "I know the feeling Hyena, wet clothes are really annoying" she told him. "That's why I'm trying not to get wet... I hope I didn't just jinx myself" she said with a defeated hang of her head. "Let's get back to the inn, warmth and hot tea sound really good right now" she said and began to move sticking close to the walls trying to stay as dry as possible.

"Rain isn't so bad...but this is just raining cats and dogs," Ren breathed as she made a dash through the streets, weaving and leading in and out of rushing people. At last, the inn loomed overhead. Thankfully, rooms were still available despite the weather. Entering the inn, the lodge fireplace greeted them with a crackle and pop. Ren motioned to sit on a table by the fire. As soon as an inn maid came with a tray of fresh bread and tea, she asked, "Where were you, Hyena? Did you find anything?" The warmth of the tea brought color once more to her pale cheeks, courtesy of the rain.

[That looks adorable Monchan, I especially love her hair and her clothing. <3] 

Hyena shook himself a bit, looking slightly unhappy. "Hyena was searching for a noise," he replied. "He found nothing, though. It was a pointless search for now." He shrugged. An inn maid walked over to him and said something softly; he nodded. "Hyena will be back, they have dry clothes for him," he told them, and wandered off after the maid. Within minutes he was back, wearing a silk black shirt and black pants. He looked a little more groomed than before, but his hair was still wet. He sat in a chair near the fire, enjoying the warmth.

Ix sat down at the table and smiled, shivering in  delight as she grasped a hot cup of tea. She was happy to be inside, warm and dry. "I really do hate the rain" she remarked off handedly looking into the fire. "So unpleasant and cold" she was talking to herself, not quite aware of it either. She sighed hevily and took another sip of her tea, looking just a bit out of it as she watched the flames.

Riya nodded in agreement, her eyes hypnotized by the fire and the relaxing atmosphere. "Shall we look before we leave this town? I still feel its presence, but it's growing fainter. It seems almost...ragged. I can't really pinpoint it either." She touched the rim of her mug and circled it while munching on a piece of bread--it was still warm and fluffy and filled with little bits of berries. "When we get to Saiferr...we'll stick together, right?" Her eyes looked up to glance at her two companions. She felt relaxed with them and didn't really want to be separated if it wasn't needed. "What do they do?" she asked, her voice dropping to an audible whisper. "The alliance...do they really think they can stop the war...?" It was a hope, and a risky one at that. Ren knew that sometimes the people who promised always took advantage of the given labor. Such were tyrants and were soon impeached, but the damage was still done.

[I can never fall asleep sitting up. xD] 

Ix nodded with a small smile looking down into the empty mug in her hands. She would stick with them if they wanted her around, all the time she spent traveling alone it was nice to be with others. She listened intently to what Hyena said and sighed, it seemed all she could do was listen. She wasn't a very smart person, she hadn't really known much of anything about the alliance until a few days ago, she had nothing to add or ask. Not sure of what to say she let her eyes travel back to the fire while her hands held unnecessarily tight to the mug.

(Tis cool, I apologise for the fail, I have no idea what to do with Ix right now XD Uber writers block is fail.)

Ren just bobbed her head up and down silently. It seems that to achieve peace, everyone will have to go through fighting. She looked outside a nearby window. It wasn't clearing up anytime soon. "How about we call it a night? Tomorrow..." her eyes shone with a luminous glint. "Why don't we spar? I think that'll be nice. And then we can search for the presence afterwards." The girl yawned and rubbed her eyes. "I'll see you all, good night." The chair scraped the floor as she got up. Before bed, she was looking forward to the drawn hot bath.
