Hyena sighed softly. "Good night," he said. "Hyena will eventually go to sleep. He forgot this human body needs sleep." He ran a hand through his hair, pushing his bangs back a bit. He was still debating on whether or not to stay with them. It was the first time in a while that he'd been fond of people, and while it would be nice his job wouldn't allow it. [Yeah, which'll be back Friday. (:]

(( Sorry been at dads. I will do this every week. I'm so sorry. But.... school and stuff..... Sorreh. But I will NOT be quitting! I will always catch up! Even if it means I have to read 20 pages or more. *grins* I like this RP. ))
Cypher screamed until his throat was hoarse and no sound came. Slowly, the pain receded. As did the flashes that had flashed through his mind like a live wire. Dark corridors with flickering lights. Odd venom green liquid. Soft hushed voices. Pain in the tip of his spine. Cypher uncurled from the ball and sat up. He was drenched in sweat and he could feel a fever raging through him. He stumbled o his feet and wearily climbed the trail back down to the town. He paused to vomit into the bushes before entering the village. He kept to the shadows, leaning against the walls for support. Finally, he came upon an inn. He carefully squeezed through the door and stood in the entrance with weary eyes. He stumbled to the counter and as he reached it, the bar tender gave him the eye. "I don't serve to drunk men." He growled. Cypher shook his head slowly, then flexed with pain. "No.... I'm not drunk....." He mumbled. He was still in the shadows. The bar tender eyed him once more and sighed. "Your telling the truth lad. One room?" He asked. Cypher just nodded slowly without bending his head to much. Even that sent pain jolting through his body. His black cloak was muddy and wet and his whole body dripped with water. The bar tender handed him keys. Cypher caught them faster than a human would of and pocketed them in his cloak. He stumbled to one of the tables in the shadows and the corner and he sat down. Wearily, he leaned his head against the inn's wall. His body ached with cold and fever. His eyes glittered in the dark with fever. He wrapped his wet cloak more tightly around him. His head felt clouded and heavy. He knew that he had about 15 minutes before he past out from the fever.

Hyena's eyes widened slightly. That was it, that was the aura he'd been searching for earlier. He wrinkled his nose slightly as the smell of illness reached it. He turned his head, dark eyes locking on to the immortal. "Good night," he mumbled, standing. He strode over to the table with the immortal, tilting his head to one side so that his bangs covered an eye. "Hello," he said. "That sickness you have. Hyena can help you, but he has questions he wants you to answer afterward." [*Dances* That's okay~]

(( Thanks. ))
Cypher looked blearily up to the one who spoke in third person. "It'll go away......" he mumbled. "I can't die anyway...." he said. Their was a strange bitterness in his voice. His head felt like someone was throwing boulders at it. He put his head in his hands. "Ever heard of..... the saying..... hurts like hell?" He gasped through clenched teeth. " That would be.... and understatement...... to what I have felt..... before....." He said through clenched teeth. His vision began to tunnel. He gritted his teeth. "2 minutes...." he muttered in a hushed voice. It was raspy and strangled. He had two minutes before he pasted out now. 2 minutes, and any thief in the inn had a whole 24 or 36 hours to steal all of his belongings. He gritted his teeth. "Do whatever....." he muttered to the stranger. As his vision blackened, he caught the strong scent of dragon from the character. Then darkness. His head slumped against the wall and sweat glinted on his skin, covering him with a thin sheen.

Hyena frowned. Well that wasn't good. He placed a finger on the man's foreheaad, hissing softly as the feeling of hotness reached his skin. He wasn't used to it. Disregarding this uncomfortableness, he muttered a healing spell under his breath. He wasn't sure it would work, though, he had no experience with immortals. He let out a sigh when the spell was done, feeling drained again. He had to be careful with his magic. He leaned his hip against the table, waiting to see if his spell had worked. If it didn't he'd carry the man to his room and return to the fire.

Cypher felt the healing spell i his body. before his own magic could reject it, he protected it, letting it work through his body. "Thank god your a dragon..." He muttered quietly, opening his eyes. The sweet was still there, but it was drying. His fever cooled down to a normal degree's for an Immortal. His eyes had stopped glittering. But he was still extremely weary. 'Talk tomorrow?" he yawned. He stood up, stumbled out of the chair, took one last look at Hyena, then walked up the stairs. Leaning against the wall for support. When he got to his room, he turned the key and walked in. Carefully, he took his wet clothes off. Leaving his dry shirt and pants on. He set his bow and quiver in the darkest corner and then he fell into the bed, falling instantly to sleep. In his mind, he saw the images that the brief memory flashback had brought up. Once again, they made no sense. Dang. ((Night. ))

Ix had left once Hyena went to talk to the stranger. She didn't want to get in the way. She moved quickly to her room, ready for a nice bath and sleep. For a moment her mind wandered to the fact thay Hyena had not given an answer to Ren's question of if they would stay together, she tried not let it bother her much and pushed it to the back of her mind as she entered her room and sighed. Hyena shook his head and returned to the chair. He didn't have money for a room, so the inn keeper allowed him to sleep in front of the fire. But for the second night in a row he couldn't sleep. He'd slept too much, and though his body was tired he wouldn't sleep until probably the next time. Time p*censored*ed slowly for him as he watched the fire die down, amusing himself once more with fiery figures. They fought silently, but were in sharp detail. [-Pats- That's okay~ We forgive.]

[Yup. c: Finally, weekend! ] Renali sat up from her bed in a jolt. She could sense the presence, and it was undeniably near. It sent shivers down her spine. Tomorrow...we'll deal with it. Her eyelids closed. It was still a few hours before dawn, but she could not sleep any longer. Ren had tossed and turned, crumpling her sheets. Finally giving up, she sat and went to the loo to wash bathe. She dressed comfortably in light clothing. Silently, she walked downstairs, where she found Hyena. Well, something happened. She gave a brisk nod, and asked for cups of tea. When it arrived, she spelled it and gave a cup to the dragon. "It'll help, trust me. It's what I drink after using magic." Sipping hers carefully, she asked, "It--" she paused, not sure if that was the correct pronoun for the presence, "He or she...is here?"

"He," Hyena replied, taking the tea and sipping it. "He is here. He got violently ill and Hyena managed to cure him. An immortal, a being incredibly rare to encounter, that is what he is," he informed Ren. "Why he was sick Hyena does not know, but he is better, if a little tired." He sipped the tea again, finding it an interesting taste. He thought back on their short conversation and smiled a little. "He and Hyena will have a talk when he wakes up, though what about Hyena isn't sure. Immortal elder knew Hyena is a dragon, so it should be interesting..."

Ix woke slowly and sighed when her eyes settled on the inn room. So much for the dream she'd been having. She washed and changed into her new clothing before going down to be with the others. "Morning" she said quietly with a soft smile as she sat with them. She'd come to the table at just the right time to hear what Hyena had said and figured he'd been talking about the strange man from the previous night. "So... have I missed anything enteresting?" she asked carding her fingers through her hair before clipping it back.

Ren gazed into the fire's dancing shape. She tried enveloping her mind around the word "immortal", but found it hard. "Interesting indeed. I've never really heard of immortals--only a few times, but even that is rare." Ren smiled, finishing her tea. "'Morning, Ix." Ren greeted the girl, p*censored*ing her a cup of magicked tea. "Better than the other bitter teas," she commented, tapping her cup. "I think he will be awakening soon. On the other hand, it's better if we all talk in a private area. I've noticed some of the workers here like sticking their unwanted noses--" she glared at a man nearby, who began scrubbing at a table vigorously, "--in conversations that should not concern them." Hyena shifted his glance toward the worker. "If any of this information is leaked there will be consequences," he stated casually. "Good morning, Ix. The tea is good, go ahead and drink it." He smiled at her, running a hand through his hair. "Hyena has figured out what the presence was yesterday. An immortal elder, he is sleeping now. We are due to have a discussion about something when he wakes," he informed her.

Ix smiled sipping at the tea, happy to find that it was infact good. "Immortal?" she repeated the word with a slight curiousness. She'd never heard of immortals, well not outside of stories anyway. "How interesting" she said with a slight smile. It seemed things just kept getting more and more interesting, a real adventure. She giggled softly at her own silly thoughts and gazed at the fire letting herself settle into a comfortable silence, ready to listen to anything else her new friends had to say.

Cypjher's eyes fluttered open and the first thing he noted was he wasn't alone. He sprang up in bed and whirled into a crouch, facing the man in his room. He hadn't realized the knife was in his hand. Yet the man remained calm. " Immortal." He said calmly. Cypher's eyes narrowed ever so slightly. He relaxed his crouch and played with his knife, sitting on the edge of his bed. "Blooddrinker." He said, if not slightly frostily back. The vampire frowned slightly. "What do you want?" Cypher said calmly. The vampire shrugged. "Nothing. only information. Why are you here?" He asked curiously. Cypher gritted his teeth as the vampire's smell wafted towards him. Bitter and sweet. Blood. "I sensed a war." He said through his teeth. The vampire sighed mournfully. "Yes. But you cannot help. I am guessing you are only a rouge Immortal. Where are the others? You beings used to travel in packs." The vampire teased, flashing his vampiric teeth. Cypher suppressed a shudder, remembering a vampire bite he had once suffered. "We travel in packs only when we know that the need is greater than out own. Silent is in the western hemisphere, Cyri in the northern, Agoroth in the eastern, and Etrius in the southern." He said sharply. The vampire bared his teeth in a grimace. "As irritating as ever though." he growled. "Fine. Just as long as you don't mess with the war, we'll keep our hands away from you. Immortal blood is such a.... pleasure to feast upon." The vampire said, grinning wickedly. Cypher growled and suddenly the knife was gone. Along with the vampire. He stood up and threw his cloak on, noting how it was clean and comfortable. He yanked his knife out angrily fro the door frame. He hadn't missed. The vampire had just moved too fast. He sighed and rubbed his temple with the palm of his hand. He hoisted his quiver and bow onto his shoulder and walked out of his room, setting his face into a calm, cool, and collected mask. Hiding his irritation. He hated vampires. Always sticking their cold spider fingers were they don't belong. He walked down the stairs, barely making any noise and he looked around the inn. He found Hyena instantly. Along with a few others. He hung back warily and took a deep breath, tasting their scents. Then he sighed, knowing he was safe. He walked slowly over to them. "Hyena, I'm guessing. Thanks." He said quietly to the one that had spoke in third person. He stood in the shadows of the hearth, gazing at them, the flames lighting up only the edge of his cloak. ((No he's not on fire. Lol ))

Ren shivered, goosebumps appeared on her arm. But then, it vanished. Another presence...? No. What a weird day--and it's only barely morning. She shook her head, then raised a brow when she saw an approaching person. So this must be him; definitely a whole different aura, Ren thought silently to herself. Her curiosity was at its height, but she remained aloof, waiting for what the conversation might be between Hyena and this mysterious being. [XD ]
