 Chem blinked her eyes open slowly. She stood from her nest of leaves and stretched, curling her tails over her back as she stretched out her back legs one at a time. She trotted out of her den. The light of the rising sun glinted off her red eyes. She yawned and trotted over to the bush of pecha berries that grew in the center of the Ylea Forest.

Three weird-looking Pokemon walked through the forest within their tight-knit group. They stayed together because they were all experiments, creatures that..shouldn't exist. The ones that survived, only to live a life in fear.

Inferno, the leader, looked around, towering over the two younger members of the group, the Flareon letting out a soft growl as he flicked his dark tail, visible green eye staring out into the trees. He looked towards the other two and motioned for them to get onto his back. Change nodded and helped Zenneth onto the Flareon's back, holding him in place as Inferno started to run.

They were misfits, outcasts....

Chem paused as three odd looking pokemon ran past. She tilted her head and flicked out her tails. Shrugging, she coninued to the bush, following the path of the three pokemon.

Inferno slowed down as they reached a large tree, which was near a large lake. He lowered himself to the ground so that the other two, smaller Pokemon could climb off. They went straight to the lake, while Inferno followed. A few embers sparked off of his pelt, the Flareon tilting his head back to let out a stream of white-hot flames. He was releasing the pent up energy he had, just to make sure he didn't end up hurting either Change or Zenneth.

Change was sitting on the edge of the lake, staring at the surface with a blank ex
pression on his face. He glanced over at Zenneth made his way into the water to swim around, the shackled Riolu doing no more than taking a few drinks of the cool, clear waters.

As Chem came to the Pecha Berry Bush, she glanced at the glint of the water in the lake. Smiling, she leapt oof the ground, grabbing the lowest pecha berry. She sat under the bush, nibbling at the soft berry.

Ice had alreayd traveled down to the lake and sat a few yards away from the three lab-born pokemon. She dangled her legs over the side of an old human dock, dipping her 'toes' in the cool water.
