Kage strode down the sidewalk, long, red-striped hair swaying against the white shirt that covered his back, his hands in his pockets as he sighed, looking around.

Mitsukai lay on a tree branch, arms behins his head as he stared up at the sky, sighing softly as he mentally made of a list of all the shapes he could make out of the clouds.

Tsundere was sitting under a tree about a kilometer away from where Mitsukai was, his fluffy tail twitching side-to-side as he closed his eyes in thought.

"Jocelyn, slow down! Just because there might be vampires around doesn't mean we have to kill them right off!" called Max, who was chasing after his twin sister, Jocelyn. She was intent on keeping the world safe for mundanes, or regular humans that cannot see Downworlders, which are vampires, fairies, werewolves, and warlocks, for what they truly were, or could simply not see them at all.

Jocelyn cracked her electrum whip, grinning as she raced ahead of her twin, Max, her lond, pale blond hair being carried by the wind. "Who said anything about killing, Max?" she called back at him over her shoulder, cracking her whip again.

Dusk sighed and lept off the tree. She landed on all fours and let out a feral snarl as she looked around, there were ShadowHunters (?) about. Dusk raced towards them, her long black hair flowed out from her pale head. "Hello." she stepped out in front of them and her eyes instantly turned cold, it was instinct...

Already somewhat tense, my body started shaking, but not from the cold. I saww the Silvie had heard it too, for she was even more tens then me. "No, it cant be. What are they doing here?" The sound of the shadow hunter's call was nown to all of this town but this neighborhood was off limits, for everyone lived in peace with the mundane world. "we gotta get out of here. Brandon, where is the rest of your family? If we dont leave now we might get into a serious fight, that im not sure we'd win." Searching around the still empty house, looking for anything of use, I ran out the door to listen harder to calculate how far they were.

Brandon:

They're shopping. why?????" Who's comming?" every thought was pounding into my head. I thought i was going to be sick.

Max let out a yelp as he ended up colliding with the vampire girl who had come out of nowhere, the girl having appeared too late for him to stop.

Jocelyn spun around, cracking her electrum whip readily, in case something had attacked her twin. "....Max....you clutz..." she sighed, shaking her head as Max groaned and sat up from his spot on the ground, shaking his head. "Vampire speed...ugh...." he muttered, rubbing the back of his head, golden eyes flicking up to the vampire.

"Uhoh, Are you feeling alright?" I said running back inside. They were closer than i thought. "Cause if you cant walk then im going to have to carry you , and that would slow me down a bit."

Max blinked, then took the vampire's hand as she helped him up. After shaking any and all gras-s out of his pale blond hair, only a shade darker than his twin's, he smiled, rubbing the back of his neck sheepishly. "Um...thanks...and sorry for ramming into you like that..." he said, ignoring his sister's stare. "I'm Max Lightwood, and this is my twin sister, Jocelyn," he said, gesturing to his sister when he said her name.

Jocelyn huffed softly before jumping with a squeal as something rubbed again her leg. She looked down, her bronze-colored eyes meeting the bright orange of Church's eyes. "Church! You scared me half to death, you naughty kitty!" she scolded as she lifted him into her arms, petting the slender black cat. He purred, curling up with his tail hanging over her arm, twitching back and forth.

"No. I'm good. and to let you in on a little secret......... i'm a werewolf. and i can run as fast as you. and yes i know that you're a vampire. And i like vampires!" I didn't lie at all on what i just said.
