Jake shook his head. He whimpered as her face grew closer to his. He shut his eyes tightly. He curled up tighter, hoping to keep the pain of the worl that has been so cruel to him. He wanted to keep teh pain away. He wanted to the keep pain at bay, to keep it away, to keep it from penetrating his small and weakening shield he could barely keep up. He felt this strength weaken. He knew he could never shut it out. The pain was too much. The world was out to get him. He knew he couldn't keep this up. He had to die. He had to keep himself away. He was a menace to everyone around him. He placed his hand over his ears and whimpered a lot.

Riku walked back into the park. He was carrying a patched blanket and a very ragged and stitched black teddy bear. A bell wrapped around the bear's neck and it made no sound. The bell hadn't rung in so long. There was a piece of paper stuck in the bell. Riku slwoly walked over to Jake and Sunni. This was the first time he actually heard Jake whimper. Every beating Jake got didn't make him whimper, but the blood from a reopened wound from a small squeeze was enough to make Jake whimper like a puppy? Riku felt bad. He should have told Jake about the scab. He bent down next to Sunni and said in a low voice. "I'm sorry... Jake didn't hurt me.. It was a reopening wound.. He just squeezed the wround place and the scab opened." He looked at Jake. "He's trying to shut the world out.. and actually.. i never realized how small he looked when he cried... He's never whimpered..." Riku placed the blanket over Jake and handed Sunni the teddy bear. "It's jake's teddy bear that I was able to keep hidden from our parents. They always threw them out. But, when he's calmed down a little, please give it to him. Please, sleep outside with him.. It always calmed him. I'll be back with a small tent and a blanket or two and a sleeping bag... with pillows." Riku stood up.

Jake felt her gentle kiss and brought his hands down from his ears and on to the blanket. He wrapped it tightly around him. His white bangs falling in front of his face. He sobbed and sniffled, no longer whimpering. He relaxed slightly and let his muscles just fall. He felt wewak and limp. He knew what he did was wrong. He made his own brother bleed. He grabbed the bear and hugged it tightly and whispered, "N-nothing... will be okay...."

Riku walked back, carrying a small tent, sleeping bags, and a few blankets and pillows. He put them on teh floor and began setting up the tent. Once done, he spread out teh sleeping bags on teh floo rof teh tent and threw the blankets and pillows into it. "It's ready." He walkd over to his brother and carried him with a lot strain. He placed his brother in teh tent. "Sunni.. take care of Jake..." He smiled and walked away.

Sunni turned to Jake and eyes calm and knowing and she smiled slightly “I told ya im not sad, she was sick I had to take care of her like she was a 2 year old” She sighed pulling the blanket to her “I know it sounds awful but I didn’t love her, I was just sent to her house last year after living in foster care. I was meant to care for her she wasn’t right. Mentally I mean” She gulped and scooted closer to him “I didn’t know the woman just that she was my fathers mom and my father beat me and my mom senseless…a constant reminder and ya don’t have to pay for the house ill be fine outside while the weather is good”

Sunni thought about the how Jake didn’t even think twice about taking care of her, sweet boy she smiled at that but not wanting to be a burden she would be okay outside for a while, hopefully and Sunni was sure she didn’t want Jake to pay for the house. She  slowly got up stretching then walking to the tent taking both sleeping bags inside, laying them side by side in the small tent then walking back out. Her eyes wary “c’mon its getting dark lets go in the tent and don’t worry I didn’t want that old house anyway….plus I really wouldn’t want to be by myself, best to be without”

Jake laughed. "You are not a nuisence on me if I am inviting you to let me take care of you. Plus, i love you and wish not to see you get hurt by anybody or anything. I care too much for you." He laid down and placed his head on her lap. HIs white hair falling in front of his eyes as he settled in. "You know... Your really comfortable..." He chuckled and wiggled arounda little. "ANyways, please, let's move in to your house. I can make the money and Riku can surely get the house for a small price. Riku has done so much for the mayor, this shouldn't be a big deal to teh mayor anyways." He smiled and loooked at her though his hair. He blew it from his eyes and looked at her. "please?"
