Jake flinched. The wound on his chest wasn't healed, but he couldn;t find it in himself to tell her to get off. He felt like he had stabbed her in teh chest. His chest felt pain, but not physical pain, like from a kick, but self-inflicted mental pain. He hear tached. He had no idea what to do, so he did the first thing that came to mind. WHat he used to do to Zane when he would come to Jake, crying because Jake was beat into bleeding again. He hugged her tightly and had his hand on her back. He rubbed her back gently and slwoly. He began to hum. The melody was never right, but he had altered it into his own. His voice somewhat cracking, but smoothing out with every note. His humming was smooth and not in the slightest bit muscular sounding. It sounded more like aloing mother, trying to calm her crying baby without upsetting it anymore. He hummed slowly and stroked her hair slightly. He tried not to pull her hair becuase of some tangles. He closed his eyes and kept humming. I hope this works.. i have not the slightest idea what OI'm doing...

Sunni was soaked with deep guilt from what she had done it hurt all over.SHe slowly put her arms around his bare rib cage but lighly as she knew the boy was hurt even though he didnt let it show.She sighed,the air was thick,hot and humid,clinging to her skin as the sky was somewhat cloudy but there wasnt a chance of rain.The bull frogs sang there odd tune as the crickets chirped along.Sunni put her head up inching her face towards his.She got so close that she could feel his warm breathe on her beatuiful face.Her eyes sparkeled with pain and fire deep within. her long hair fell all around her."im sorry"tears streamed her face, tears that fell and hit his face.SHe looked away but still close to him she bit down keeping her jaw tight,she shook with pain "im sorry im so sorry"She couldnt look the baoy in the eyes."i understand and thats why it hurts..so badly dont let anyone tell you your nothing jake dont because your something"SHe shocked out her voice deep and full of overwhelming pain.Sunni ccouldnt move still practically on top of him her face so close..she didnt realize that she was in his space.

Jake blushed slightly and he felt a tear on his face. His eyes widened and he let out a short breath. "Y-Yo.... Sunni, what's wrong? What did you even do wrong? I hsould be the one that's sorry. I didn't mean to make you cry.." He looked at her and brushed her hair from her face. He placed his hand on her head and smiled slightly. "Come on Sunni.. Don't cry.. Your face isn't meant to have tear streaks running down them. Your beautiful eyes are just not meant to have red from tears. Your soft cheeks shouldn't be turned coarse and hard but th edried tears. I should have to see such a beautiful girl cry like I do when beat. You shouldn't cry such beautiful eyes out...Come on now..." He put his hand on her cheek. "Promise me you won't cry.." He heard the frogs stop, the crickets were no longer chriping like birds. The world was silent. The only sound was from the rustling leaves that whispered secrets to the listening wind. The words were to faint to make a real noise.

Sunni closed her eyes and took a deep breathe,a warm breeze blew through her hair.She gulped the tears stopped but her face a red and puffy from such emotion 'I didnt mean to hurt you"Her voice shook as she tried so desperately to control herself.Sunni slwoly opend her eyes ot look into jakes,she smiled he had such a cute face she couldnt help it.She slowly moved her face even closer to his.then paused and pressed her lips against his hoping he wouldnt pull away or think the piercings on her lips would gross him out.HEr heart raced and then her mind went numb all she could think about was jake

Jake's eyes widened. He's never found a girl, no, he never imagined a girl would kiss him with the hideous bruise on his lip. He returned her kiss and pressed his lips against her's. He smiled slightly though. Never, in his short 19 years, had he been kissed. He never felt this. His stomach filled with butterflies and he closed his eyes slightly. This is bad... Very very bad... I just met this chik... He shook his head and his thoughts left him. HIs head was numb and he couldn't take his eyes off her. Sunni this and sunni that. All he had going through his mind was everything that was beautiful about her. Even though Chiley suggested she was fat, Jake found her teh perfect size. She wasn't fat nor was she skinny. He wrapped his arm around her waist. He pulled away after a few minutes. "Can I ask... Why you did that.. I never thought anybody would kiss me becaus eof teh bruises i've always had on my face.."

Sunni smiled her eyes sparkeled in the night "because yer cute bruises or no bruises and....do looks really matter?"The qeustion rattled through sunni's brain,but she didnt want to think about it she didnt want to miss this moment though deep down she knew this was something her mind would never forget.Her heart thumped as he pulled her close she could feel his heart beat it made her give a little shiver.She didnt move nor did she wait for his reply and pressed her smooth light pink lips against his once more.

Jake blushed a little and pressed his lips against her's. They weren't very smooth, due to his bruises and new cut from the punch his father had given him, but he smiled a little. He felt warmth from her words. Did looks really matter? Had he just been self-conscience because of one little incident when someone made fun of a bruise he had on his face? He thought so. Maybe he had been fine this whole time. Maybe he just needed someone to ask him if his looks really mattered. His body shook slightly. He neer felt so nervouse, so numb. But he finally felt warmth. His eyes lightened to a bright Ruby red and seems to sparkle in teh moon light. He felt a slight breeze and a powerful fragrance came over him. Cherry-blossom? I thought they didn't have any...He looked at Sunni. Maybe she was his cherry-blossom.

Sunni opened her eyes she saw the ruby fire in jake's and felt heat pumping through her soul.THe air was muggy and hot,not that she cared never wanting this night to end.SHe felt the bruises and bumps on jakes lips but couldnt care less something about his washed all the pain away it made her forget.SHe pulled away and smiled she shook with excitment and nevrousness.SUnni searched for his hand but realized they were on her waist.Her eyes burned like golden fire embers in the night "that was.."is all she could choke out but her mind screamed amazing.She flicked her hair out of her eyes revealing a smile so big it looked as if her face would crack.Her heart thumped and she noticed the silence maybe all the creatures wanted this moment to be for them only

Jake looked at her and smiled. "That was amazing?" He chuckled and felt his kip with his finger. :Ew.. How can you kiss me? I have a cut and a bruise... I wonder why you did that.." He smiled and looked at Sunni. "The toads stopped. They were out of breath from singing of your beauty. They cannot find the right words, nor the right pitch. They have not yet mastered the art of lyrics. The crickets are shamed by the beauty in your every move. Their sweet chirping cannot compare..." He smiled a little wider. "You really do have such a beautiful smile." The same fragrance hit him again. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes slightly. "Cherry-blossoms.. No wonder I keep this smelling this sweet frangrace. They are jealous of hoiw much more pleasant you are than they. They hate it that you now have my attention when they had it firts.. They are trying to lure me away, but they can't tear me away..." He felt her searching for his hand. He took hers. "I'm right here you little knuckle head. No need to search for me."

Sunni gave a weak smile and bit the inside of her cheek.Of course she didnt believe in any of the crap Jake had just told her sure she lov..er liked the boy but c'mon she hated fake,lies things that she had lived on her whole live she looked for honesty even if it sometims stung.But then sunni thought about what he had said about his lips 'cuz..i..i..like you"She gulped as her heart fluttered like a hummingbird wing.She looked into his bright ruby eyes and melted it felt like lava har coarsed through her veins."dont get sappy on me boy!"She giggled "really,i dont like fake"Sunni held his hand and sqeezed it tighter hoping he wouldnt be offeneded,sunni wasnt pretty or sweet smelling,she was just..Sunni.Desperately she waited for cherry blossoms to appear and the bull frogs to craok again.

Jake looked at her, shocked. He's never felt so cold adn rejected. Although, he has never really been rejected by anybody else. He looked away and tried to gather his thoughts. "Why would you think I was a fake? I don't say crap like this.. I don't like saying it, but you just made me.. You smelll sweeet to me.. Your beautiful to me... Your just perfetc to me.. But go ahaead, call me a fake..." He sat up and let go of her hand. He stood up and walked to the edge of the roof. He sat on the edge. "If you wanted me to leave, you shoul dhave told me earlier..." He looked at her, his ruby eyes and lost their sparkle and were now a deep blood red, almost black. He sighed and looked down. "Mallick was right.. Nobody will love me.. Cuz of the way I look, or what I say... Nobody wants me.. Not even my mother or Father... Zane and Mallick... They hardly love me.." He slid forward and was now just barely on the roof. "I should just go home, huh? Before I cause you any more pain.. Th ebull frogs will never sing again.. I won't smell the sweet cheery-blossoms that blood outside my house.. I won't hear the hum and melody of the crickets and toads.."

Sunny looked down and waited til her was done talking then got up and walked over to him her bones crackling as she waled.Sunni sat down and flicked her hair out of her eyes.She looked at his eyes as hers were gl*censored*y and fragile saoked in the black abyss of jakes eyes looking for a life savor.She gulped "im not pretty i sure as hell dont smell sweet and im more then imperfect"She laughed "but thats me and ive been lied to my whole life and cheated out of i want honesty,jake even if it hurts"She so badly wanted to hold his hand but knew it wasnt a good idea,blodd rushed thtough her head as anxiety flooded her."i like you...i do..doesnt that count,yea the bull frog will croak and the cherry blossoms will fill the air with think fragrance but it will never change the way i feel about you...dont ever leave me i need you"Her eyes looked worried still she searched for the ruby spark that she had liked or maybe fell in love with.

Lindsay looked at Mallick. It was usually hard to believe stuff like this, but she refused not to believe him. She was waiting on his every word. "That may have caused some issues..." she said. "I hope she's okay... But seriously, I doubt it was because she thought she was being stalked. That's way over-reacting. Seriously?" She said. She would have thought it sweet if the guy who firted with her for an entire day stalked her. But maybe that was already the case... "Do you have information on me? I only moved here last month." She hoped he did. She enthusiastically smiled.

(sorry... i was busy..) Jake's eyes flickered slightly brighter. They were a glossy blood red color, but they still had that small sparkle he got when his eyes were shining with ruby color. He looked away and let the tears fall. "I'm not leaving... I don't really want to. When I get home, I'll just be slapped around like the rag doll i'm seen as. When I'm laying in bed, the only thing I'll heard is the sound of my own heart pounding, working to keep me from dying each day, and my brother's tears. I don't want to see or hear any of it. Mallick will apologize for getting me slapped again... And yet, he's always sending me out to get the info.. I've been slapped three times already.. And almost kille dby one girl's boyfriend becaus ehe thought I was guna stalk her." He looked up at the moon, tears slowly falling like light rain in April. He reached his hand up. "I want to just... forget my life.. I want to start anew.. Away from the hurt.. But then.. I'd be lonely." ~~~ Mallick chuckled. "Of course.. I've got information on everyone and everything in this small town. Every plant you see growing.. Is only known to us. I've named them all. I've got information on the little old lady who plays the violing so beautifully, it broke my gl*censored*es once. I have information on the newborn baby the Mathews just had. I have information on my own two brothers and Jake's father as well as our real mother." He smiled. "Got any new information for me? I need to please the mayor with my data once the year is up."

Sunni gulped,she looked up at the moons shining over watching them.The wind picked up making the night cool.Still though it was silent she sniffed the air was thick with the smell of cut gr*censored*.She sighed and slowly put her arms around him."look i know what its like wanting to start over...i know"She got smacked with guilt of what she had done "im sorry i hit you..ill never get over the regret of hurting you...i have to live with that"Sunni began to cry trying to suck it all in."but you know what? life is full of regret and pain...but ya have to look at the good things er you'll never be happy"She rested her head on his shoulder "and you jake are my good thing."She thought about it about the good things in life and bad things,and that you have to find your own happiness in this world even if it mean running from the life you once knew. Jake felt her warm embrace and put his hand down. "Tch... I know people who hae tried to start anew and usually, they never succeed... And i'm going to tell you now.. My father.. He beats me for only one reason.... I had suposedly done something with my mother... I don't remember what he said, but I've never done anything.." He let he tears roll off his cheeks and he looked at her. "Listen, don't cry.. Don't you dare call me fake.... Don't you try and say I'm the only good thing.. I'm nothing but a lump of fat in this world.." Jake sighed and looked at the sky. :The night sky... How I wish to just keep night.. My Father will always be sleeping.. He can't beat me so... I won't bleed again.." He grabbed her hand and held it tightly, as though she was the last thing holding him to earth. He weeped and fell back. His head hitting the sleeping bag and he looked at the sky. "Sorry... I'm just being really stupid..."
