Mallick looked at Lindsay and opened his laptop. He looked over the information. "Ah... I see.." He closed it again and removed his gl*censored*es. "I'm guessing your crush is me... Or at least, that's what I believe... And you want me to ask you out.. How about we go on a date first.. Then, if your my type, I'll ask you.. NO guarantee though.." He blinked and looked at his brother who had shoved a mountian on icecream in his mouth and got a brain freeze. "Zane! Quit shoving that much in your mouth!"

Zane jumped and looked at Mallick. "I'm s-" He held his head and his eyes narrowed to how they were with his alter. He looked at them and shoved the ice cream away. "Anyways, Mallick, I should probably go look for Jake. What if he's at home and something happened? Or what if he ran away again.." He stood up and kissed Lindsay's hand. "Adieu, both of you.." Zane walked out.

As Zane left, Lindsay shook her head and smiled playfully. "That kid..." She mused. She shook herself out of it, and looked happily at Mallick.

"So... where and when?" She asked thoughtfully. "And you seem so doubtful...." She chuckled. "Am I that awful?!?" She continued laughing.

Mallick looked at Lindsay and laughed. "I highly doubt you'd make a terrible girlfriend, but in truth and truth... I havn;t dated anybody for at least two or three years.. I've been doing the Mayor's research and other crap that I didn't really volunteer to do. I was only chosen because of how freakin' smart he thought I was.. I just have great ability to pay attention to detail and other stuff.." He smiled. "Well, we have a beach, the amusment park is only a few miles from here, the lake is great for boating, jet skiing, water skiing... And we can also go to the park for the cl*censored*ic picnics.."

Jake looked at Sunni and smiled slightly. "No, i'me not cold. My dad used to make me sleep in ic-... nevermind... You don't want to hear that.." He felt his heart flutter. HE finally felt like something was filling the void in his heart. Someone was finally showing him the comp*censored*ion he really needed at the moment. Somone was showing his that HE can love again. HE can trust others. HE had so much to live for now. "Sunni, I don't know if it's good to say thins, considering we just met a couple hours ago.. Well, actually, I;e knows you for a while. I've seen you around school and stuff, but still.. If this makes me a creep, just walk away or push me off the building..." He breathed in deeply and looked into her amber speckled eyes. His own red ones glowing in the moonlight and his silver hair falling in front of his face. "I.... I need you in my life.... I've never known what it was like to love.. to have something to keep you alive.. to stay alive and persue that one person.. Sunni, i need someone like you to show me the way to the light. I've seen nothing but darkness and the color red. I was to see the color. I want to see the light.. Show me... Please.." He held her hand and put his free hand on her cheek gently. "Help me.."

She is small for her age, five feet, and unhealthily skinny, attributable to malnourishment, but that doesn't detract from her features, strangely enough, so her face doesn't look anorexic. She has thick, jet black hair that continues straight down her shoulders, up to her chest. Her skin is deathly pale, but unusually pretty. Her eyes are a deep silver, and they seem to tell her life story sadly. They always look like they could be brimming with tears. She has a heart shaped face that neatly rests on her shoulders. Neon silver coontails give her hair more character, as does her small silver bow. Her nose fits perfectly on her delicate face, as do her full lips. She literally has over a hundred scars and bruises on her body constantly. All in all, she is beautiful in a strange way, but she looks like she was once beautiful in the best way.

Other: Courtney was born to a 15-year-old mother who loved her, and a horrible 18-year-old father in the ghetto. She was a crack baby, and she stayed in the hospital for years, and then was eventually transported to an orphanage. She had to fight with the other girls to eat, because food was scarce. A man, who she thought loved her and wanted to be her father, adopted her, and molested and beat her cruelly each night, without feeding her, locking her up in the closet nightly. Then he would force her to work for her as a street performer, begging and dancing for money. She had enough one night, so she ran away while he was in a drunken frenzy.
She ran to the parks for comfort. She got a boyfriend, who said he loved her. But then, he molested her and beat her as well. She finally had enough, and ran back to the shelters, where she was adopted by another abusive family, who continues to beat her. She has a feeling they will beat her to deatj, and keeps poison in her birth mom's locket.

Lindsay smiled at Mallick. "Oh! I love the park. Wanna hang out over there, and have a picnic?" She smiled.

Riku smiled and looked at Lindsay. "Alright, that's fine by me. Do you wang to head over to my place while I fix a basket of food or something? I can load a cooler or something and we can head over there right away." He smiled and looked at her. "But I must warn you, you mustn't go inside with me.."

Jake blushed slightly and pressed his lips against hers. His heart fluttered like millions of butterflies had just taken off from a tree. His hands slightly trembled and he heard the toads start singing again, in tune to his beating heart. Each croak sounded like a cello or b*censored* whose string plucked in tune to the crickets. The crickets unusally sounded much like violins on the wind. The symphony of nature sent his heart flying and his mind went blank. Like sunni, he wanted this night to never end. He unknowingly wrapped his arms around her waist and tilted his head slightly to deepen the kiss a little.

Kyin walked into his parent's house and looked at his dad. "Where is Jake? He came home.. I know he did.." Kyin heard something he hoped not to hear. "Y-You beat him in the front yard?! There is blood on the damn fountain! But that girl took him..." He opened up his laptop and looked up Sunni. He found her adress and quickly ran out and down the street. He stopped in front of SUnni's house and saw a way to the roof. He knew Jake wouldn't be inside. He climbed up and looked at his brother and Sunni. His alter's eyes fading and his normal ones comeing back. "Brother!!! You just met her!!"

Jake looked up at his brother and stood up. "Listen Kyin, this is exactly what it looks like, but you need to know the thing behind this all." He looked at Sunni and held her close. "Listen, she makes me feel like i have something more to live for. I really don't know what else to do. I feel so much better when she's with me.. She sends my heart into a frenzy and it beats a thounsand times a minute.. She just makes me feeel more than I know I am.." Jake looked at Kyin.

Kyin looked at Sunni then his brother. "Fine.. I'm not stopping you. But I hope mother and father don't react as badly as they usually do. You won't be able to see her for at least a week if they react badly. Dad will have your head. Not just that, he'll probably abuse you again.." He lookedd at Jake. "Don't tell them until father is drunk or something. He won't respond as badly if he was." He walked to the edge and then slid down the drain. He held onto it tightly.
