Melanie got up from her seat at dinner once it was announced that it was over. She walked a frew feet, then froze. She had to go to Severus's cla.ss. Damnit. Relunctantly, and biting down on her lip, Melanie walked to his cla.ssroom. "Snapey, I'm home." She spoke her usual greeting but without the sing-song voice. Instead it was emotionless.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

"Potter." He said gruffly, pointing to a chair and desk to the left, textbook on the desk. "You know what to do." Severus sat at his desk, looking at the files laid out on the hard wood.

Melanie saluted him. "Gotcha." She took the files and sat at a desk, afraid to sit on the table like she usually did.

Severus looked at her curiously, before shaking his head and adverting his eyes back down to the files. Jesus, these children were stupid. Almost none of them p*censored*ed the test.

((uh... im as.suming damon and silve are still on the roof?)) Silvie's empty gaze seemed to bore right through Damon, her eyes like venom as she stared blankly at her once love. The light breeze blew her hair into her face, but she made no effort to move it from her face.

((Yeah, Fun.)) Damon took that as a yes, exhaling a breath he didn't know he was holding. "I-I'm sorry." He started, watching her closely. Severus fought the urge to answer, knowing it would come out snide if he told her she was still one of them. He ignored her, his quill scratching on the paper, marking off the bad grades. |

Melanie fought the urge to roll her eyes and looked back down at the files, chuckling as she saw the pranks her father had pulled. He was sheer genius.

Severus raised an eyebrow at his papers, hearing her chuckle. She thought what her father did was funny. She really was a Potter. Severus' eyes widened as he realized that her doing this was giving her ideas. Damnit.

pression and grinned to herself as she copied down the file. Wow, James was amazing. She had to try these.

Melanie looked out the window absentmindedly and saw two people on the roof. ...Was that Silvie? And Damon? Melanie laughed lightly before turning her eyes back to the file, scribbling it down in her loopy handwriting.

Silvie shook her head. "Those words are worth nothing... anyone can say I love you... it takes someone special to SHOW that their words are true." she replied expressionlessly. She climbed to her feet and began to walk farther away on the shingles. "Are we done?" she growled, her eyes revealing the hurt she was keeping in her heart.

Breath. Stop. Don't look. No, no, don't look. Grade papers, Severus told himself, sighing deeply in what could only be called annoyance. Gos, how he missed the feeling of his lips against her's- STOP! No no. No. Don't think about her. Think about Damon. Think about what's best for her. It didn't work. - "No, we aren't." Damon sighed, following her. He grabbed her by the arm, quickly spinning her into his chest. If actions were what she wanted, actions were what he would give her. |

Silvie smiled lightly, her heart beggining to lighten, but then she remembered her pain that night... her eyes morphed back into their cold glare and she pushed Damon away from her. She backed away... she held back tears and had to force herself to turn away..."I have been cheated out of love before... whether it was pure...I dont know. But I will never make the same mistakes." she choked, trying to keep a straight face.

One corner of Melanie's mouth curved upward as she noticed Severus' difficulties. Good. So he was having the same problems as she was. She did her best to look down, to copy more of the files (She was sure she could write 'James Potter' in her sleep by now), but she failed and found herself glancing at Severus.
