Melanie fought the urge to scream out with anger. Why wouldn't they just admit it? She started to walk down the hallway, away from them. She didn't think she could handle any more of that. Her head was pounding.

Melanie's look did the opposite. She made her eyes even softer, more gentle, more beautiful. "You don't want to see Damon leave. Even if you don't like him at the moment. Plus, you don't want to see me upset, do you?" She said this in a soft, seductive voice.
