Melanie's ears perked up at hearing Stefan's threat. That sounded like fun. She would definitely help him with that.

Melanie was starting to become annoyed that she wasn't a part of the conversation she could hear, but she didn't go back. If Severus wanted her to leave, then fine. She would. Anything for him. She sat against a wall far down the hallway from the two, not looking at either of them.

"I felt... Betrayed when you told me you kissed Draco. I walked away to think about what you had just told me." Damon started. "I haven't shed a tear in a long time, but I was sure I was that second. And then I saw Melanie. She was mad, I could tell by her gait. We walked over to the big Oak, and we sat and talked. That how it started- we were just talking. I told her that you kissed Draco, and she comforted me, told me it was going to be alright. Then we started talking about how I knew the love between her and Severus was pure; simple. Of course she argued." Damon chuckled humorlessly. "She always argues. I admitted that I always had a thing for her.. It was those eyes. I know it was stupid, but she deserved to know, even if I did love you." Damon took a deep breath before continuing. "She told me that she wanted to kiss me. I know it was wrong, but I told her to. And... She did. The rush of emotion-I needed it. I physically needed after what you put me through. One thing led to another, and the kiss deepened, and so did our touch. But just like as quickly as it started, it ended-and the apologies began." He looked up at her, meeting her gaze. "I am so sorry, Silvie. I could say it and show it a thousands times and I still wouldn't forgive myself. You have no right to forgive me." "You're going to regret this, Tobi!" Stefan pressed. "Emotionless or not, you know you can't hurt her!" Severus growled, annoyed by the truth in his words. "Shut up, Stefan." "Make me." Some of the dumbest words to say in front of Severus Snape. A millisecond hadn't gone by before Severus had Stefan against the wall, a wand at his neck. "What was that?"

That was where Melanie drew the line. She stood up almost instantly, ran back to the two of them, and put a hand on Severus' shoulder. "Let. Him. Go," Melanie said, calmly but demanding.
