((Sightbump)) When Melanie reached the dorms, all of the girls instantly looked up. The ones that were awake or light sleepers, anyway. Melanie hadn't realized how loud she was stomping, but appearently it was enough for half the girls to start demanding why she was making so much racket. She ignored all of them and went to her bed, laying down on her stomach with her face dug into the pillow. She didn't bother going underneath the covers or changing into pajamas. It was going to be another sleepless night, anyway.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Severus stared at his clothes, one of his best weapons. He reluctantly waived his wand, an arsenal of the latest clothes appearing on his bed. He grinned to himself. This was going to be easy.

After three long, sleepless hours, Melanie began to see the light of dawn peeking in through the large windows, and saw many girls begin to wake, including Hermione, who asked, "Where have you been?" Melanie sighed. "It's a long, painful story you would NOT want to hear. Trust me," She replied. Hermione gave her friend a sympathetic look and wrapped her arms around Melanie, knowing that hugs usually made Melanie feel better. Melanie returned the hug quickly, then broke free of Hermione and managed a small smile. "Thanks, 'Mione," She said softly, then got up. She went into a bathroom and brushed her hair and teeth, then put on a fresh pair of clothes, sliding her robes on over them. Then she groaned. She still had to go to Severus' cla.ss before breakfast. Damnit. And if she didn't, then the teachers would wonder why she wasn't there, as would her friends, and may accuse her of skipping. Melanie already had enough bad remarks on her records-she couldn't afford to have another one. Relunctantly, she slung her bag over her shoulder and trudged down to Snape's.

Severus looked around the room, then back down at his attire. He sighed to himself, taking his usual seat behind his desk, a cigarette placed between his lips, a cloud of smoke hanging around him. Time for some fun. |

Melanie flung open the door to Severus' room, then glared at the cigarette. She fought the urge to say something about it, and sat down on his desk, unafraid. She didn't care what he did, or what he said. This was her seat, and she was sitting here, no matter what. A smirk crept on her face. This was gonna be fun.

"Sure do," Melanie said emotionlessly, returning his cold look and getting out her textbook, flipping to a random page. She began reading, and had no trouble at all concentrating like she normally did. Or so it came off as.

((ok gotcha...)) Silvie thought for a moment... a difficult question indeed. "Well even though Malfoy hates him...I never actually minded the kid. Thought I was superior, hells yeah... but I never cared what happened to him, he could drop dead or become even more famous..." she shrugged, "And my feelings wouldn't change. Like Mel a whole lot better though."
