Melanie woke up, rubbing sleep and images out of her eyes. She hadn't gotten much sleep last night, her mind kept drifting to Snape...which was a very bad thing. She tried her hardest not to think about him, she really did. But it was hard. She showered, brushed her hair and teeth, put on neat clothes and her robes and headed for his room. It was going to be hard not to think about him when she had to see him so often. ~ "Mornin', Snapey." As usual, Melanie was there all of a sudden.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

"Potter," Severus greeted distractedly, organizing objects on the bookcase behind him. "You know what to do~" He waved, the textbook floating out of her bag and into his hand. He placed it on his desk, right next to his textbook from when he was a kid; when he was the Half Blood Prince. Severus turned back around, unknowingly giving her his textbook. He was careful not to touch her, knowing the emotion he'd feel. "Pages 394 and up should do." |

"Yes, sir." Melanie said in her usual sarcastic tone, and started reading. She instantly knew this one wasn't her textbook. There was lots of writing from a student on it, it was curly and in cursive. It said things like "Add more" and "Stir less." She was confused; she had never seen anything in her book written there before. She studied it, though, all the same. Including the words that the student wrote.

Severus sat back down on his chair, willing himself not to look at her. No, idiot. Don't. Stop. Sh!t... He lost his internal battle, his eyes moving up and looking at Melanie, who actually looked like she was learning. |

Loric woke up with an aggitated look on his face. "Whats up with you, Loric?"a boy asked. "Can it."Loric growled as he went to shower. He tossed an insult at him, but he ignored it. After his daily cleaning routine, Loric left his dorm and went to breakfast.

Melanie felt Snape's eyes on her, and so wanted to look back, to just stare at him, linger in his eyes...she shook the thought away and bit down on her lip to stop her from looking. Of course, it was like her eyes had a mind of their own, and she ended up looking into his eyes.

"Why not?" Melanie asked, sighing. "I'll tell you everything if you tell me." She held her stare, though it was becoming hard to keep looking considering how close they were. She was blushing and she could tell.

"It's wrong, Melanie. For me to.. feel this way." Severus answered, seeing the blush color her face. He wanted to tell her, most of him said yes. But the logical part was screaming no, telling that it was wrong, that he should end all ties with her. Only, he couldn't bring himself to. |
