"Stop it!" Melanie whined, unlacing his arms from around her waist. She held onto his hand for just a moment longer than necessary and cursed underneath her breath.

Melanie sighed quietly to herself as she continued to walk. She was having second thoughts about leaving. Maybe she could just live her life the way it used to be, being friends with Hermione, Ron, and her brother...skipping every other cla.ss (although now she would only skip one in particular)...staying up till 4:30 in the morning talking about boys with Hermione... The only problem was that that life seemed so far away. Melanie now could only picture her life with...Severus. And Damon, and Stefan. And Silvie. And doing the crazy sh!t they all did. Together. She had matured since her 'old' life. She had grown. She didn't want things to be the way they were, but on the same hand, she did. Melanie wanted Severus to hate her. And Damon. Not for her benefit, but for theirs. She couldn't think of anything that she had done to make their lives any better, only worse. Once again, Melanie was reminded of why she had to go.

((Narrator voice)) Melanie could not be more wrong. The news of her departure left Severus in near tears. He tried to tell himself that it was for the best, that she deserved someone better, but it was no use. She was leaving. Severus did not hate her, Damon did not hate her, either. She could not be more wrong. What happened was truly something out of the books, a love triangle involving a Salvatore and a Snape. Little did she know that leaving would push both of them to the brink. |

((Grrr. Fine. 8c)) Melanie wiped the tears falling down her cheeks with the back of her hand, and soon felt the breeze of outside strike her. This was it. She turned around to face the school she loved with all of her heart, filled with people she loved with all of her heart. Tears flooded down her cheeks and she let them go now. She mumbled, "Accio suitcase," and suddenly a packed case flew threw the air and to her side. Melanie was always packed, just in case. She never kept her eyes off of Hogwarts as she picked up the suitcase and slid her wand into her boot. I love you, she mouthed to the castle in front of her, obviously meaning it for Severus though she told herself it was for Hogwarts itself. And then Melanie disapparated away from everything she loved the most, heading for a place she couldn't stand. Petunia and Vernon Dursley's. ((Is it lame for me to be choking on tears right now?))
