Melanie's eyes shot open and she instinctively grabbed his shirt collar and raised her fist at the roughness of his shove. She looked at him for a moment, sighed, and dropped her fist, the other hand that was once pulling at his shirt falling to the side as well.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.
