"Let's goo." Damon protested. "All this lovey dovey crap is killing my appetite."

Severus pulled away from Melanie, staying a few steps in front of the group the whole walk. Just because the professors knew doesn't mean the students had to. 

"Aww, I loove you, Damonn~!" Melanie said, coming up to kiss his cheek, just to annoy him further.

Damon turned his head, unaware of what was going on, accidently kissing Mel on the lips. His eyes widened as he panicked, looking at Severus with wary eyes.

"I DIDN"T MEAN TO!" 

Severus growled softly, but let it go. "Don't do it again."

Stefan leaned into Hermione, explaining. "He's extremely protective, and he doesn't like to share. Damon went crazy because He almost killed him last time." 

Hermione nodded slowly, understanding. "I see."

Melanie rolled her eyes again at Severus. "Sheesh, protective," She teased.

"You wouldn't have it any other way." Severus shot back as he walked into the Great Hall. He strode up to his head, feeling Lupin's eyes on him. "What?" He asked.

"Oh, nothing. Just a weird change of wardrobe." 

Melanie walked in a few steps after Severus, sitting down in her usual seat across from Harry and Ron.

"So, Harry," Melanie asked, a hint of teasing in her voice, "How's Ginny?" She knew he had done what Damon had advised because every time he looked in Ginny's direction he would blush like mad. Harry shot his sister a grin. "She's a great kisser."

Stefan sat down, finding that Hermione was between him and Ron. Uh-oh. Funny, this whole time he hadn't let go of her hand.

Damon sat across from Mel, next to Harry. "Hey man, I told you it would work." 

"Like a charm," Harry agreed, turning his grin towards Damon. "Thanks, man."

Melanie smiled. "Look at my little brother being the ladies' man~" She sang.

"Harry and Ginny, sittin' in a tree~" Hermione added in, teasing along with Mel. She tried to ignore Ron's glares in Stefan's direction.

Damon chuckled. "Oh, come on, leave him be." He chided.

"K.I.S.S.I.N.G." Stefan laughed, reaching over and kissing Hermione on the cheek for emphasis.

"I'll have you know, Damon hexed all of my robes." 

Harry growled. "I hate you people," He said, putting his head down on the table.

"First comes loooove," Melanie sang, enjoying the fact that she could see her brother's ears going red.

"Then comes marriage," Hermione added in, giggling.

"Alright, shut up." Damon said, rubbing Harry's back confortingly.

"Mel, I don't exactly remember us doing that to you." 

"'Cause I'd punch you in the face if you did," Melanie shot back. "Harry's too nice for that. Plus, he knows I love him. Right, Harry?" She reached her hand across the table to pat his arm.

Harry mumbled, "Of course, Mel."

Damon shook his head. "How about we eat?" 

((I know me too. o__o' And I'm failing at it.))

"Sounds good to me," Melanie said with a shrug. Harry lifted his head off the table, giving Damon a grateful look.

Damon patted his back, turning to the steak on his plate.

Stefan grabbed the juice, pouring Hermione a cup like the gentleman he is.

Melanie stood up when dinner was over, skipping off to Severus' room without even a goodbye to anyone, excited for no reason in particular. When she saw Ginny, she slung an arm around her shoulder and said, "Take care of my brother, won't you?" She said with a grin, before walking into Severus' room.
