Loric stayed in the Slytherin common room. He didnt feel up to doing anything so he decided to skip his cl*censored*es for the day. He didnt feel like messing around with tea cups, or man eating books, or plants that poke back, and he most certainly didnt feel up to dealing with Potter or her boyfriend Snape. His screech owl, Tal-Ho, flapped up to a window. "Hey girl."he smirked as he went over to her and allowed her to perch on his shoulder. "I need something to do."he smirked as he went to his chest and changed out of his uniform.

Hermoine sat down next to Melanie, who looked at her with a small smile. That's what she needed. A best friend. Not bothering to explain, Melanie wrapped her arms around her, and Hermoine, shocked but knowing what to do, hugged her back. Melanie let some tears pour silently, and Hermoine didn't ask a single question. She was a good friend, Melanie thought. She shouldn't have gotten so mad at her. "I'm sorry," Melanie whispered when she was done, sitting up straight and preforming a quick spell to make it look like she hadn't been crying. "I am too," Hermoine whispered back.

Melanie could perform all the spells she fancied, Severus knew what had just happened, and it took all of him not to comfort her, not to walk over and wrap his arms around her. "Felix Felicis, or a Happiness Potion. Make which ever you desire, but it better be right." |

Silvie ran from the green houses... her bag thrown lazily over her shoulder. Her stride was brisk as she held the excuse not from Madam Pomphrey in her hand. She whispered the pas.sword as she ran into the common room, and up to the girl's dormetrys. She placed her herbology equipment at the foot of her bed as she grabbed both hers and Draco's potions books. She was still fitting them into her bag as she raced down the stairs and back into the common room, spotting Loric. "Whats up with you?" she stated, glancing at her clas.smate as she fit the books into her bag.

"Ooh. I read about this one." Melanie said with a grin. Of course, Snape was using a potion she had learned through Remedial. She met eyes with him and gave him a thankful smile before getting to work. This time, though, she didn't follow the instructions exactly. She followed the words that were printed in the last textbook she read. The one with the curly and cursive notes on it. Melanie had memerized everything it had said. When she was done making it, she looked at the color to make sure it was right. It was, of course. The student who had written in the textbook certainly was a bright one.

Hermoine was still working on her potion and seemed to have trouble with it. Melanie sighed with happiness. Finally, something she beat Hermoine at. Noticing Melanie's perfect potion, Hermoine asked, "Can you help me?" Melanie laughed, loud and proud, and said, "Nope. That's what you get for not helping me!"

Hermoine was sweating, and Melanie could tell. She wondered wy her friend was having such a tough time, this potion was rather easy. Maybe her head wasn't in it. Melanie'd have to ask what was wrong later. It wasn't like Hermoine to be out of it.
