Hermione came in then, along with three other students. She sat down next to Melanie. "What's Umbridge doing here?" She whispered to Melanie, putting on a disgusting face. Everyone knew how much 'Mione disliked Umbridge. Melanie shrugged. "Just being a snoop, I guess." She made sure they were too quiet for Umbridge to hear.

Damon walked in, stopped when he saw Umbridge, then looked to make sure he was in the right classroom. "Ew, what are you doing here?" Damon asked, his face wrinkling in disgust. Umbridge looked at him, her smile falling completely. "Damon Salvatore. What are you doing here?" She hissed. "I could ask you the same." Damon replied, sitting next to Melanie. "Bit.ch." He muttered under his breath. Ron took his usual seat on the other side of Stefan. "Now," Umbridge turned back to Severus. Severus walked between the circular tables. "You opted for position of Defense Against the Dark Arts, yes?" Severus nodded once. "And you were denied?" "Obviously." Severus replied. Ron snorted, trying to hide the sound. Umbridge nodded, leaving the class. Severus reached around Melanie, grabbing her book and smacking Ron behind the head with it before returning it. |

Severus hit Melanie softly. "Shut up. Now, everyone, as you can see, Miss Umbridge is back. That means no more fooling around and more work. Now make this postion correctly, or you're going to see a side of me you haven't seen in a long time."

Melanie started on her potion. You know, Potions really was a lot easier now that she wasn't spending half the class thinking about new ways to toture and/or embarass Snape. Plus, the bit of Remedial that she had actually done helped, too. This time, Melanie made her potion perfectly, and didn't even ask for Hermione's help once. That was a satisfying feeling.
