Melanie got to work on her potion, this time not even peeking at what Hermione was doing. Just to challenge herself. She grinned when she had finished, finally comparing her potion with Hermione's.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Severus walked around the classroom, inspecting eeryone's potions. So far, two tables finished.

Melanie looked over at Hermione. "How'd I do?" She asked her, just to show off. Hermione stared at Melanie's potion. "You did...good?" She said it like she couldn't believe it, which made Melanie grin.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Damon sat back on two legs of his chair, potion already done. What he didn't see was Severus walk behind him, pulling the chair back and turning away as Damon fell. |

The group's whole table burst into laughter, Melanie covering her mouth with one and as she offered the other hand to Damon.

Damon grumbled something unintelligible, taking Melanie's hand and jumping up. "Chairs have four legs for a reason." Severus said, smirking as he blew 'smoke' up into the classroom. Stefan chuckled, shaking his head as the other two legs of his chair hid the floor with a 'thud' when Severus walked behind him. Tobi whined softly, paws twitching as he tried to catch the thing that ran through his dreams. |

Melanie laughed at Damon, then again at Tobi. She stroked him softly, trying to calm him.

Stefan raised his hand, Damon following suit. Three out of five tables were done. Severus sighed. "You children want me to be mean..." He growled. "Class dismissed. Those who did not finish, and I know who you are, have an essay on this potion due tomorow." |

"We knew." Every said. Severus chuckled, whistling. Tobi came up to him, sitting down in front of his chair. Severus reached into his desk, pulling out a pack of raw steak. He pulled out a large metal bowl, pushing all four steaks into the bowl, setting it in front of Tobi. Tobi growled hungrily, attacking the steaks. |

Damon scratched his neck. He did not need this right now. "Damon, look what I've got." Severus said, shaking a set of keys in front of him. Damon's eyes widened. "Hugh sent it back?" He asked excitedly. Severus shook his head. "Nope, he's keeping that one." Which made Stefan sulk. Severus placed the keys in Damon's hand. "Consider it an early birthday gift." |
