Melanie thanked God that she had thought to bring her Invisibility Cloak when she was about to open the door to Severus' room and heard Umbridge. Quickly, she draped it over her, leaning against the wall next to his door. It was far enough to not get hit by the door, but close enough so she could still hear the conversation.

"May I ask why?" Umbridge said, her tone implying that 'no' was not an answer. Severus turned on her, blowing water vapor into her face. "Because I want to. You may go." Umbridge huffed, leaving the classroom. She stepped outside, eyes slitting. It felt like someone else was there. She shook the feeling off, walking down the Dungeon and up the stairs. |
