"Yeah. He's back. We gotta get Stefan." Now that everyone was mentioning it, Melanie's right wrist was starting to burn, too. She stared at her scar, which was more visible than usual.

"You know? You go get Stefan. I've gotta get Harry." Melanie took off in the direction of the Gryffindor Boys' Dormitories, ignoring the groans and shouts of protests as a girl ran through them. Unsurprisingly, Harry was awake, his head in his hands, yelping in pain. "Harry," Melanie said, lifting his head. "Harry, he's back!" Harry glared at her. "No sh!t he's back!" He yelled.

Damon jumped up, cutting off Melanie and busted into Stefan's room. Stefan was laready up, Damon's arm confirming his thoughts. Stefan was smart enough not to get a Dark Mark when Severus and Damon infultrated Voldemort's ranks. Thankfully, Severus and Damon were still in the clear in Voldemort's eyes. |

Melanie grabbed Harry's hand, the boy clutching his forehead with the other hand, and ran, trying to find Damon, Stefan, and Severus. Damn, the pain was getting sharper...

Dumbledore sprang up. "Oh no." And just like that, the pain was over. Damon stopped, looking down at his arm. The pain was gone, but the Mark was still clear as day, the snake still moving. |

Harry and Melanie looked at each other instantly, feeling the pain subside almost entirely. Melanie saw Damon and ran for him, hand-in-hand with her brother. "What just happened?"

Severus walked over to the kids, Dumbledore behind him. "I am placing you all under Professor Snape's protection. I trust that Tobi can handle this?" Dumbledore said, looking over to Severus, who offered a nod of approval. |

Melanie and Harry both nodded at Dumbledore, and although Harry didn't seem too thrilled about the idea, he trusted the old man. Melanie looked at her brother. She'd have to convince him that Severus wasn't as bad as he thought eventually.

"Come on." Damon said, leading the group in the direction of Severus' room. There were adjustments to be made. Severus searched his pockets, pulling out his favorite black stick and placing it between his lips. He was going to smoke. A lot. And no one was going to stop him. "Severus, you know what you have to do." Severus sighed. He knew. He nodded, taking off in the direction of the kids. |

Melanie and Harry followed Damon, both not sure what was going on exactly. They still held each other's hands, Harry giving her's a squeeze every once in a while. He knew his sister well, and he knew how nervous she was.
