Melanie laughed. She had to admit, this would be fun to watch. She knew Hermione would make her potion slowly... Correctly, but slowly, if she accepted. Which she would. "Deal!" Hermione half-squealed, and went back to her potion, adding ingredients very slowly. Melanie knew this was a really easy potion to make. It hardly required any work. She plopped in the ingredients lazily, and stirred as she stifled a yawn.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Damon smirked, seeing her slow down. But two could play that game. He yawned lazily, resulting in his dropping one ingredient in every three minutes. Yes, the potion was easy, and he'd make it correctly. But he wanted to see how far he could push Hermione.

Melanie glared at Damon. "Don't make her fail this," She mouthed, then rose an eyebrow. Hermione, noticing how slow Damon was going, went even slower, trying really hard not to be like her normal self.

"I'm going to kill you," Melanie grumbled to Damon, making sure that Hermione didn't hear. Hermione, worried, bit down on her lip. Oh, how much she wanted to go to Hogsmeade with Damon. But, at this rate, there was no way she'd finish! She picked up her pace, but only slightly.

Damon grinned, his pace now matching Hermione's. He glanced at Severus, nodding his head slightly, before picking up his pace and adding every ingredient. Except the last one.'"Fill your vials." Severus called to the cla.ss. Damon dropped the Wolfsbane, grabbing at it. "F*ckin' shi.te." He growled. |

Melanie filled her vial and then placed her head in her hands. Oh god, how much she wasted to strangle Damon. Hermione had every ingredient in, and was scared now that Damon had dropped it. What else could go wrong? Sighing, she filled up her vial herself. "Hah. Didn't make her fail yet!" Melanie whispered to him.

Damon smirked, his hands like thunder as he dropped the Wolfsbane in and stirred quiker than lightning. He was taught by Severus after all. He filled his vial quickly, performing a quick spell. Severus watched Damon's vial float up to him, reaching his hands only seconds before the rest. "Ah, looks like we have a new head of cla.ss." Severus drawled. |

Hermione ran out the door, probably going to blab about what just happened. Melanie waited till almost everyone was out the room, then grabbed at Damon's neck. "I'm going to...murder...you..."
