"Actually, I'm staying after I graduate, because I can do that." Damon answered, turning to her. "But just so I don't leave you wanting," He mused, brushing a kiss to her lips. He jumped about three feet backwards, judging her reaction.

"Gonna kill me yet, love?" 

Damon trotted after her, a triumphant smirk on his face, before bounding into the open Potions room.

Severus looked at him carefully, giving him a slight sneer.

"And why, Mr. Salvatore, are you late to my cla.ss?" He asked in his usual drawl, earning snickers from the Gryffindors. Funny, if Damon was Gryffindor, he'd have detention already.

"Well," Damon started, leaning against the door frame. "First I was eating, then I was walking, and then I was sitting. So, you can blame the sitting. Oh, and laughing." He grinned, the cla.ss looking horrified as no one had talked to Snape that way before.

"Very well, take your seat." Severus waved off.

"Thanks, Tobi." Damon replied, saying the last bit under his breath. 

"Yeah, love. I'm a bit miffed, I must say." Damon huffed from next to Hermione, looking hurt. "All I was telling her was what I did to Draco last Christmas." He said loudly, smirking when Draco whipped in his chair beside him.

"Don't you dare, Damon, or I swear." Draco warned. Damon laughed, shaking his head. "What're you going to do, Draco? Tell 'daddy'? He'll only start laughing-again."

Draco looked like he was going to be sick as he turned back around. "Bloody blood traitor," He muttered, making Damon stop smiling.

"Oh, I'm sorry, what was that, Draco? Telling your friends about how I turned your hair into a.ssorted colors? Or about how you were crying rainbow tears?" Damon sneered, the cla.ss going silent before bursting into fits of laughter.

Severus had to stifle his own, managing a small smirk.

"That is enough, Salvatore. You can continue your exploits of Mr. Malfoy in another cla.ss"

Draco looked like he wanted to punch the both of them.

"Father'll hear about this-"

"-And he'll tell you to stop being a little b!tch about it." Damon finished. 

"Enough." Severus said, his finality broken by his smirk. "Shrinking potion. Make it, and Mr. Malfoy, try to slip some into Mr. Salvatore's drink and your father will be notified."

Damon stifled a laugh, leaning his chair back on two legs as he lazily plopped thing into his cauldron.

"Now, Hermione love, how has your day been?" 

Melanie had read about this one, too. She expected that she would've. Knowing exactly what to do without looking at the instructions, she lazily threw in ingredients and yawned.

Hermione blushed, giggled, and said, "It's getting better."

"Better be." Damon grinned, his hand 'accidentally' falling over Hermione's.

Severus didn't know she had read this one, and it showed as he walked silently through the isles of students, sneering at some, an eyebrow raised in her general direction. 

Melanie caught eye contact with him and nodded, telling him that she had read about this one.

Hermione blushed even more and smiled at Damon. Melanie almost barfed.

Severus gave his head a slight shake, moving on.

Damon returned the smile, his fingers brushing patterns on her skin. He vacantly knew he was stirring his potion with the other hand, and turned his gaze to ladle it into a vial.

Melanie tried not to look at Hermione and Damon, but found herself peeking at the two, then felt a pain in her chest. Where did that come from? She wasn't jealous, just annoyed because Damon probably didn't even like Hermione.

Hermione giggled more, and noticed that she had goosebumps. She plopped in the ingredients one by one, but not really concentrating.

Damon suddenly removed his hand, catching Melanie's look. He suppressed a sigh; she probably thought ill of him, which would be reasonable.

"Concentrate, 'Mione."

Severus waved his hand, the vials started to float up to him.

Sh.ite." Damon muttered, ladling some of his potion into a vial and labeling Hermione's name on it. 

"No problem." Damon said offhandedly, watching as the vials flew up to Severus. He looked at them, a slight sneer on his face.

"Mr. Salvatore, you and Miss. Granger will stay after the cla.ss is dismissed."
