Melanie nearly strangled the two of them, Hermione for not acting like, well, Hermione, and Damon for being the cause of it. Hermione looked like she was going to kill herself.

"I distracted her, so I felt it necessary. I'm only trying to prove that chivalry isn't dead." Severus nodded slowly from behind his desk, stroking a finger over his lip. "Interesting. "Oh, Thank you sir!" Hermione said, her voice full of relief. She rushed out the door happily, and probably wanting to get away from the cla.ssroom itself. Since Melanie didn't feel like catching up with her, she strutted back into the room and pulled herself up onto the desk. "Oo-oh, Damon's in troublee~" Melanie sang.
