Melanie met her lips with his, mostly just wanting to get it over with. But there was a small part of her that actually wanted to kiss him, which scared her.

Damon smirked, but pulled away. No, he was not going to do that. As soon as he pulled away, Severus pushed himself up off his chair stalking away in the direction of the pool. "Damon, why are you such an a.sshole?" Stefan asked, angry. |

"I was about to ask the same thing," Melanie said, shaking her head. Her heart was pounding, though, and she regretted it. She hated herself for kissing back. She hated herself for agreeing to the bet. But...there was another part of her that was glad she did. Which frightened her.

"Yeah, I think that's a good idea." Hugh nodded, before pushing Damon all the way to the pool. "Cmon man, no. I need to go see Severus." "Ah, no. He'll rip out your throat and staple it to your chest." "C'mon, Tobi. Let's go back outside." Stefan offered, holding his hand out to him. Severus nodded slowly, grabbing his hand and getting back to his feet. "Stefan.. Go make me the strongest drink you can think of." He said, before walking back onto the porch with hollow eyes. |

Hugh walked back over to Severus, bending his head towards him. "You alright, mate?" He asked, slightly worried when Stefan came back and put a twenty-ounce cup full of a steaming substance down in front of him. "Nope." Severus answered, taking a gulp from the cup. "Ah, steaming volcano." |

Severus met her eyes, before dropping the gaze. He couldn't look at her. Every time he did, he saw what had just happened. "Stefan, go grab whatever the hell is in this and make enough to give to an army. I'm getting so drunk I won't remember my name." Severus muttered. After a nod from Hugh, Stefan took off back into the kitchen. Damon slid into the pool, trying to keep away from the group. The guilt was killing him. |
