Melanie squeezed his hand, looking up at him. It was times like these when she considered her life to be almost perfect. You know, besides the stress of kinda loving someone else. Oh, and there was that thing about being the last horcrux, too. Yeah, that was pretty unperfect. But besides all of that, she was content. Especially now.

Severus leaned down, kissing her softly. He didn't know how much better it could get. You know, besides the fact that he was evil, and still a Death Eater, and she was still in danger, and Damon was still... He didn't like to dwell on it.
