Severus growled. He heard that.

Tobi gave her an 'oh no' look. 

((Oh yes she did.))

Melanie looked down at Tobi and shrugged, sitting down on the bed. Her second class wouldn't start for fifteen minutes or so.

((Go take a shower theeeen. Omg what if she finds the ring.

.... DON'T.))

Tobi moved onto the bed, laying down and putting his head in her lap. 

((She won't. I would never ruin it like that. xDD))

Melanie sat there in silence, stroking his head for a minute before standing up. "I should shower," She said aloud, then went to the bathroom to do so.

((PHEW. My heart just... wow. She should find something, though. Either somehting that would get her mad, or something that would make her extremely happy. Like idk.. a certificate of authenticity for the ring xD))

Tobi whine loudly, thumping his tail twice. He was bored. 

((Hm, what'd be something that could get her mad? xD I wouldn't want to ruin the engagement like that even though she knows it's coming :c))

"Calm down, boy, I'm out." Melanie said, coming out of the bathroom seven minutes later, drying her hair with a towel. Her eyes sparkled with curiousity as she realized she was alone in Sev's room. He was always so paranoid about her snooping around, and she wondered why...

((She's your character xD. Umm... I don't know, a letter from Lucius talking about something Voldy related?))

Tobi yipped, rolling onto his back and looking at her expectantly. 

((It's your character's room. o_o I don't know the contents of it. xD hurrr...))

Melanie chuckled and crouched down to scratch the dog's belly for a little before standing up straight. Her eyes darted around the room, seeing if they caught anything interesting.

Tobi flashed her puppy eyes when she stopped. Why did it lok like she was looking for something?

((Think of seomthiiiiiing)) 

What was that? Melanie could've sworn... yep, it was a crumpled piece of parchment, laying on the ground in the corner of the room. Hesitantly, Mel went over to pick it up, smoothing it out before reading its contents.

She dropped it in shock when she was finished. No way. Sev was on her side, right? That letter... it was from Lucius Malfoy, and it surely stated otherwise. But he was a double spy, wasn't he? Secretly for the Order? Man, that note... she didn't even want to think about what it had said. Something about a direct request from Voldemort... a request that required to keep her alive, so Voldy could finish her off later. A request that had asked for Severus to gain her trust, so he could lure her right into the Dark Lord's hands.

Man, this was tough sh!t.

Tobi flipped back on to his feet, growling softly at her. He felt the waved of hostility rolling off of her frame. 

((This is what you get for telling me to think of something. I get way too creative and carried away. xDD))

Melanie looked over at Tobi. "What?" She asked, her voice coming out like a squeak.

((The angst is like a knot in the pit of my stomach right now xDD.))

Tobi growled again, raising his hackles. This was putting him on edge. 

((Sorry. I feed off this stuff. I love me a big bowl of drama.))

"Shut up." Melanie said, glaring at the dog. "Let's go now; I'm gonna be late to Transfiguration."

Tobi laid his ears back, padding up and licking her face.
