Stefan braced himself, walking into the room. He was surprised when he didn't hear anyone getting chewed out. Severus had become extremely angry with everyone in the past few days.

Harry shoved Melanie into Severus' classroom roughly, saluting her when she glared at him and running off before she could go after him. Her eyes were on the ground, the ceiling, the wall, anywhere but Severus as she sat down.
We fell through the ice when we tried not to slip.

Severus looked up, his eyes widening in shock. She was here. He looked over at Stefan, glaring at him. He knew he had something to do with this. Severus wanted to say something, anything. But his mouth when dry at the sight of her, and he couldn't speak if he wanted to.

A million and one sarcastic and or witty remarks ran through Melanie's head to break the silence, but she voiced none of them. She couldn't talk. Especially when she felt his eyes on her. Suddenly, she began to pretend that her shoes were fascinating and locked her eyes on them.

Stefan walked over, taking her by the hand and steering her into the seat next to him, feeling Severus' eyes on him. "Just breathe." He whispered to her. Severus wanted to dismiss the class and voice the one hundred and one apologies he needed to give to get her back into his arms. ((Remember, she needs to stand tall. And you got in to Potermore on the third day, right?)) |

"Today, and for the rest of the month, we will be making Polyjuice Potions. For those of you who have been studying, this should be simple enough." |

Polyjuice, right. Mel knew how to make that. Some nights she had helped Hermione make it, back when they were in second or third year... But her mind wasn't in it. Literally, if she had to speak whatever was on her mind, she'd be saying "Severus" over and over.
