May I join?

I think the world "ends" in December of 2012. Don't believe it, although I get slightly paraniod about it

Taylor pulled her shiny, blue corvette into the parking lot of a small supermarket. This had been her real car when she was sixteen. Now that the world ended and no one was left, she had plently of places to park. She did not feel much loss at what had happened. It was her brother, Maksis that had been wounded in the destruction of the world. She hoped to find some gloves for him so he would stop trying to heal every dead thing they pa.ssed. She snorted quietly and Maksis did not even bother to look in her direction. "Come on," She said and tugged on his arm. His cloudy eyes cleared, though they were cold, as he opened the pa.ssenger door.

Maksis headed into the store, his thoughts muddled. He pulled his backpack over his shoulders and sat it in front of him. He began to fill the empty pack with granola bars and non-perishable foods while Taylor scaveged a few savable packs of meat. She came back grinning. "We got lucky this time. We'll cook this up tonight," She said and she held the meat in front of his nose. He cringed and leaned away. Taylor pat him on the shoulder. "Don't worry, Maks. We'll get through this," She said and he merely sighed. She pulled out some leather gloves and he pulled them on before she grabbed his hand again.

History-Thalia was raised by very rich parents who basically ignored her.They gave her what she needed, but didn't provide her with any real attention, exept when they wanted to impress thier friends. When Thalia was 14, her parents volunteered her for mutations "for her own good" (but really so they could have something to dispay and brag about). However,when the process was complete, they said they didn't want to keep "it" and left in the hands of the scientists. On her 15th birthday, Thalia escaped.

Personality- Thalia is kind and rather quiet. She avoids most people and is wary of strangers, but opens up once she gets to know people. Thalia longs for someone-anyone to care for her and give her affection, and is jealous of anyone who had parents who cared for them.

Looks-See picture. Thalia usually wears a cream colored t-shirt with a turquiose water-proof hoodie over it. The pearls on her tail and arms don't come off

Mutations- The tail and fins, obviously. Because of her tail, she usually spends her time in water. If she has to go on land, she usually uses a kind of giant fishbowl, but it is really slow, so she prefers the water. Umm....does breathing underwater count as a second skill, or is it a given? If not I'd like to have her have a almost "chameleon" thing-if she stands still, people just don't see her.
