Bethany awoke ubruptly, and stood out up, her feet wobbling. She yawned and wiped her brow, which was full of sweat. Se remembered how close the ocean was to her location. She stripped down to her bra and tanktop and put on some basketball shorts. She stuffed a towel, goggles and extra clothes in her bag. She slung the bag over her shoulder snad walked outside of the house. She started the car and started driving towards the bay. She grabbed the goggles and placed them on her head. She walked out into the water, and stopped when the water was up to her chest. She dove under and swam deeper into the water. She saw what looked like a cave and swam towards it. She needed water esperately and swam fatser. Luckily there was a space with no water inside the deep cave.

Bethany though't she saw a body on a rock, and her first thought was that the person was dead. She dove back into the water and swam closer to the person. She realized the girl wasn't dead, but there were fins on her... Betbhnay was shocked at the sight. She nudged the girl gently, not knowing what else to do.

Dusk blinked out from her trance and turned her blind gaze to stare at the new girl. "Hello." she said cooly, leaping into the water. She rested her head on the rockand watched the girl, hiding her blue tail from view. She stuck her arms into the water, making the fins on her arms dissaper into the water. She blinked, waiting for hre to say something...

"You must be dreaming, I don't have fins. She pushed the water off of her fins and they changed into real feet. She lifted them high into the air to show the girl. She laughed nervously...

"Don't lie to me." She lifted her hand up and it suddenly dissapeared from sight. She closed her eys and her molecules formed a hand on her wrist. "See."

I woke up early the next morning. I stretched out my wings and sat up. I dug through my bag of clothes and threw on a black shirt and black hoodie. I was starved. I took a look outside and saw a deer. Hhm. I'd heard it tastes good, but I had nothing to shoot it with. I sighed, and then a thought hit me. Fish. I glanced around and noticed some vines, which I made into a net. Clutching the net tightly, I took off, heading towards the seas. After flying a while, I came to the sea. The air was salty and refreshing. I landed on a nearby rock and untangled the net. I surveyed my surroundings, before two figures caught my eye. It look as though two girl were talking. I decided to go over and see what was up.

Thalia woke, yawning. Time to go see if any of the nearby houses had food. She was starving! But first, she had to retrieve her "wheelchair from her last home. She couldn't get on land without it. Diving underwater, she swam into the sea, but was sidetracked at the sight of another cave in the lake, which she must have missed when she swam in. She thought she heard voices from inside the cave. They seemed familiar... Quietly, she swam closer, then froze, blending in with the water as she listened to thier conversation

Bethany saw people coming towards her and the "mermaid" she had met. Without anyhting to say she dove under water. She searched for any way around them, but realized there were none. "Hey!" She yelled, aounding like she was warning the other girls.

Reoko shrugged it off and continued down the alleyway. Arriving at the end, she saw a old deli, with several chairs sitting around tables. Walking forward, a white sign on the door stated, 'Closed.' Reoko didn't care, however. She placed her hand on the lock, and sighed. Then she thought of something. She picked up one of the old rot iron chairs, and slammed it down on the lock. She dropped the chair, and was pleased to see the rusty old lock lying on the ground. She put her hand on the door and shoved it inwards, walking inside the building.
The first the she smelled was the smell of deli meat, but quite old. She wandered to the bar and looked behind it, noticing an drink machine and some other things. "Well, I see this didn't close too long ago." She said. Turning she walked over to the silver door that led to the back, and pushed them open. She felled around for a light switch, and pulled it upwards once she found it. -:P- |
