From where she was standing, Charlotte caught Destery's comment. She spun around, and hurled the silver blade at him. It sunk into his chest, right between his lungs. She hadn't aimed for the heart. "Next time," she called to him, "It'll be your heart." Then she walked away, right towards Zoey.

Charlotte stopped, and turned to face Zoey. "Where's Josh, and Jace?" she asked. Jace blinked, and looked around. The vampire and the mundane were gone. What the..? Josh consentrated on what he was thinking about. Kelsey stood there, alone in the ally way. Her eyes flickered nervously to Destery and Raphael.
