"Zoey," Charlotte said in a hard voice, "Whatever it is he did, I think you need to tell someone. If not me, then someone else."

Jace stopped laughing.

Charlotte nodded. "It's me, or the two dunces standing by the mundane." She nodded her head to Raphael and Kelsey. Destery was not to be seen.

Jace remained silent.

Josh pricked his ears.

Zoey shivered and told her everything that happened the that alleyway. She fiddled with her knife after she finished.  

Charlotte remained silent. After a couple minutes, she exlaimed, "Why on earth, would you let him do that? He's an idiot, Zoey. IF he had tried that on me..."

Jace stepped from the shadows. "You lier.." he hissed.

Josh's breaths came in rasps.

Charlotte grabbed the dagger from Zoey, and quickly sliced her palm open. A violet coloured wave of blood flowed from the wound. "Jace," she snarled, "Come any closer and I'll kill you."

Jace's heart thrummed in his chest, but he didn't say anything back. He just glared at her. Demon blood on his wings would kill him...

( Actually, the only thing that can kill an angel is by using qeres, which is an egyptain "perfume" that was apparently the first "sweet breath" of the afterlife.

Or so says some part of the Bible. e.e Genesis 6, I think.

(( Prof. Raven read from the book so her voice boomed, "Angels and demons are among the most rare immortals to be found. Each has a different affinity, or power as you would call it, that reflects their personality. For example, let's say an angel  and a vampire both have an affinity for eletricity. Even though it's the same power, the angel's will be stronger. The same goes with a demon.

Angels and demons are mortal enemies, and if a demon smears it's blood on an angel's wings, it will either kill or premanently wound the angel.

Angels can be part of mix breeds, but demons cannot. Possible breeds of angels are; Wereangels, Werevangels, and Vangels. No other breeds have been found yet. 

If an angel and a demon fall in love, and mate, it ends in death for the both of them, and the fetus if either is impregnanted..." her voice droned on, but I wasn't paying attention. I was too busy staring at the back of Ash's head. ))

(( Every immortal has an affinity (power) that says something about them. <3 It can be an element, special sight, speical ability or like, other stuff. Ex. Josh's affinity in the book is Shadows. Cole's is the ability to cloak himself and other things. Jace can controll weaponry. Luke is electricity...))

Kelsey looked like she was about to puke. "Oh. I see.." she breathed deepling in, "It's just that I'm afraid of heights.."

Jace smirked, and set his hands on his hips.

Charlotte narrowed her eyes at Jace, "I know, how you feel about her."

Jace tried to look expressionless. "So?"

"Well, then, stop being such a jerk.."

"She likes Josh, Charlotte."

"So? Maybe if you changed.."

"I'm not going to change, Charlotte!" He backed away, shaking his head. "I'm just, not.." 

Charlotte sighed, and then dashed after Zoey.
