( o3o Raphael has almost no interest in love, just so you know. He does love friends, though. xD )

Raphael's wings snapped out, but they pulled back towards Raphael's back when they hit the alley walls. "Don't do that!" he shouted, gaining control of Jace once again. "She did nothing but state her opinion." He turned his head so he could look at Kelsey. "You seem...dumbfounded. Are you okay?"

((Jace knows that full well. o3o He just enjoys being an as$hat. ))

Kelsey exhaled sharply. "I'm fine," she muttered, looking at the ground, "I just don't like it when immortals argue in front of me." she lied, "It makes me jumpy."

Charlotte pulled the dagger out, and immediately clamped her other hand over the wound. She sighed, and sheathed the dagger in the folds of her skirt. "Ow?" she muttered, twisting her free hand to signal the water on the ground a few meters away.

Jace was possessed again! <------ ;O

"Oh," Raphael tilted his head. "Is that so...?" He released Jace again, shrugging, and turned around. "Okay, well, I think I'll be leaving. Destery'll probably stay behind and attempt to rip Jace to shreds for saying he hated wolves,"

Destery only blinked his red eyes.

Kelsey blinked at Destery. "Erm, I'd rather not be here when it happens..."She started to shiver. 

Charlotte healed herself with the water, and then dropped it. She straightened out, and smiled at everyone. "I like wolves," she said, "I just don't like evil wolves."

Jace muttered something like, "Your mother is an evil wolf," but nobody heard him. He glared at Destery.

Again, Destery only blinked at Jace.

"Yuh-huh," Raphael called over his shoulder, waving his hand at Kelsey. "If you don't want to see that, then you should probably come along. I already said I'd bring you with me, didn't I?"

Kelsey nodded mutely, and hurried after Raphael.

Charlotte walked in the middle of the two males. "Now look," she mused, "This needs to be a clean fight. No powers. Got it?" She smiled brightly at Destery, and then shot a glare at Jace. 

Jace nodded, crossing his fingers behind his back. "Got it,"

Destery let out a snarl, ears flattening against his head. He barked a couple times at Jace, then looked over at Charlotte, tail wagging like crazy. Again, he barked.

"Alright then," Raphael said, ignoring the strange stares he got from people who were staring at his wings. Earlier that morning, he had had trouble sticking his wings through the hole in the back of his shirt, which he had done so he could walk around and not get weird stares.

Apparently, he had forgotten about the fact that he had wings.

Kelsey asked him quietly, "What's the problem with being a human? I mean, weren't you all human before?" She was chewing on her lip.

Charlotte chuckled. "You'd make a pretty cute dog," she mused, "If you didn't look like you came from hell itself." She stepped out of the way.

Jace growled, summoning the lead pipe from behind him without Charlotte noticing.

"Yeah," Raphael blinked at the space in front of him, not stopping. "I got my wings when I was twelve. I tried to cut them off, but..." He sighed. "I don't see anything wrong with being human. I wish I was human again, so..."

That's because I'm a hellhound. Destery thought, looking annoyed now. No, I'm sorry. I'm a hellhound wolf. If he could, he would've sighed. No one really likes hellhounds, especially because they kill you if you see them three times.

"But, like, Jace and Josh and Zoey," She sighed, "Why don't they like humans?" Kelsey stared blankly ahead of her. Her arm brushed against Raphael's and she jumped and snatched it away. The hair on her arm stood on end.

Charlotte watched them, smirking. "Personally, I prefer dragons, hellhounds, basilisks and darker creatures like that over wolves." She was basically talking to herself. She turned to Destery. "Aren't you a hellhound?"

Jace lunged, striking Destery across the face with the lead pipe. It made a sickening crack.

Charlotte snarled, "I told you no powers!" she called on water again, but soon realized there was really nothing she and her water could do.

"How should I know?" Raphael asked, looking over at Kelsey when she jumped away. "Something wrong?" He blinked at Kelsey, a bit confused.

Destery nodded slightly, and let out a cry when the lead hid his muzzle. He twitched his nose, standing up and glaring at Jace. For the most part, he was fine, but Jace had just smacked him for no reason... He growled at him, ears flattening against his head. Then he lunged for Jace's neck, ripping clean through his flesh.

JAce struggled underneath him, unable to scream because Destery had bitten down on his throat. he called on the silver blade Charlotte had.

Charlotte cursed, and tried to keep hold on it, but it slipped out of her hands, and landed in Jace's. She swore again.

Jace stabbed Destery in the stomach, struggling underneath him. Blood soaked his chest and neck, and now Destery's blood soaked his own stomach and waist. He stabbed again, this time more near the heart.

Kelsey glanced at him nervously. "Erm, No. Nothings wrong," she lied quietly.

Destery whined, then ripped away from Jace, tearing out a chunk of flesh from Jace's throat. He actually swallowed it, then let out a snarl, red eyes glowing again. He dived for the blade, but instead bit into Jace's wrist.

"Oh," Raphael looked away from Kelsey, and his wings pulled back to his back. "Can we go somewhere...less public? People are going to start calling scientists or something soon..." He chuckled.

Jace clamped his hand over his throat, blood pouring from the wound there. He snarled, and kicked Destery in the chest, dislodging him. He was just about to leap on his and plunge the blade into his heart, when Charlotte stopped him.

"Oh will you two quit it?!" She snapped, eyes flashing angrily. The water slapped the blade out of Jace's hand, and returned it to her own sheath. She growled, "I swear, if you two don't quit, I'll kill you both!" She calmed down, and sighed.

Kelsey nodded, teeth chattering. "Sure," she mumbled.

Josh was about to say something, but fatigue hit him like a brick, and he fell asleep.

While he slept, Josh looked so innocent and young. Like he did when he was thirteen. Before the change, before every problem in his life. When everything was peaceful.

He looked peaceful.

Destery whined, trotting away and hiding behind a metal trash can. He set his head on his paws, still whining quietly. Even though he was a hellhound, he could still feel pain. After all, he wasn't a real hellhound.

Raphael took Kelsey's hand and led her away, towards a quieter part of the town he'd discovered earlier. He didn't say a word, and instead continued to lead her towards the silent part of town.

Kelsey followed him quietly, swallowing the bile rising in her throat and resisting the urge to tear her hand out of his.

Jace sighed, and sat down. He waited for the wound to heal.

Charlotte growled at Jace, and then went to go find Destery. She smiled at him when she did. "Destery," she chuckled, "That's very unsanitary."
