( ^^ Alright. )
"What...happened?"
He'd awoken suddenly, startled by nothing and yet frightened out of his wits. David noticed the sky and furrowed his brow at the color. He looked around; the area surrounding him looked so dead and lifeless. It was dead quiet, too, except for the lonely wind. It was almost like a winter night, but he knew it wasn't winter. Was it?
Davy then proceeded to get to his feet, only to find that he couldn't really feel any part of his body. He looked at his hands, and jumped when he saw the color of them. Gray!? The ground has ash on it. I'm just covered in ash. he told himself, panicking slightly. Davy tried to brush it off, but even when he did, his skin was still gray. So, he licked his hand. No difference.
So, he panicked. David stood up, about to yell for someone when he realized there was no one around. And so he questioned no one when he asked what had happened. Confused, he turned away from the sky, only to jump up when he heard something in the distance. A person!? he thought, and rushed towards the sound.
It was only to meet a green, monster-looking thing poking out of the ground. "What the hell!?" he cried, jerking back in alarm.
